i used milliput 2 part putty, its time consuming but holds a lot of detail a dries rock hard.

i dont think it would be accurate to apply zimmerite to an early version tiger 1, i think it was only after the mid production units started rolling out that it was implemented. round about late 43 i think?

....you're right, they started to use Zimmerit in the Fall of '43 to late '44. They stopped using it because apparently it sometime ignited from a shell impact. I was going to convert mine to a later model with the MG 42 on the cupola and a few other details.....
