Doing some research. and I ran across this awesome build I almost forgot about.

Sure would love to see those final pictures Mr.Nagata .
 
Wow, just gorgeous. Honestly OP, I hate the thought of you carrying it around conventions and getting it scratched up. I think you've defeated that idea, lol.
 
You know, after all this, I forgot to take final pictures. I finished this right before a con and after it was over, put it in storage. I'll get some final pictures of this piece and post them.
 
Just saw this thread for the first time. What an extraordinary piece of work, simply done and the results are awesome!!
 
Beautiful work. Whats really nice is knowing the magic came from the maker's skill, rather than expensive ingredients. Really came out nice.
 
It is understood that there is a pepakura (paper craft) version of this available gratis, on line.

Incidentally, which resin was used to strengthen the balsa and/or the cardboard mailing tube? THAT may be something worthy of purchase.
