retro style space patrol helmet

This isn't from anything, just inspired by 50s&60s space toys. It's a vintage Nesco Comet Deluxe motorcycle helmet. I think it needs a graphic across the front and it feels like it could use some more...something. Feels a little empty. I'm open to suggestion.

A Starbust graphic on the front could be a nice touch. Since found items had been added on, it's diffuclt to think of something that would compliment the vacuum tubes and antennae... Maybe an old bakelight knob could be used for adjusting frequencies? The goggles give it a steampunk look, if that's what you're going for. A transparent half face amber shield could be another option.

I like the star burst and Bakelite knob idea. The half visor would have been a great idea too if I hadn't ground off the damn snaps :confused These helmets seem to go for fairly cheap on eBay so maybe I'll pick up another one and try out some other ideas. if I can find a face shield I could probably drill and pop rivet it so it pivots. I love those goggles though....best $10 I ever spent.
