I'm seeing it opening show tonight. If certain spoilers I've read are correct, his lightsaber almost certainly puts in an appearance.
Ten bucks says it'll turn out to be that MPP that was supposedly purchased by Lucasfilm last year.

Rogue One has symmetrical stormtroopers and a spherical Death Star (as opposed to the oblate spheroid it was in ANH), so they're clearly not opposed to making changes here and there.

There's only a short scene with Darth Vader wielding his lightsaber. But I couldn't make out any details of the hilt because the scene so dark. Maybe enhanced screen shots can shed some light on the matter!

in theory, yes... but given that we've seen time and again that prop continuity is not something they seem to obsess over, there's no way to be sure. The fact that the ROTJ Vader Graflex stunt is often referred to as the hero and is the model frequently used for toys, I'm understandably curious.

I saw it tonight, watching it for the first time there are too many other visuals to observe detail of the hilt.

The hilt was basically invisible. He could have been swinging a Maglight for all I could tell.

The movie was amazing. Couldn't tell which Vader's had at all. That scene where he lights up the hallway by igniting it, CHILLS.
