Hi guys. I am new to this forum but was very active over on the FISD forum for years. Just wanted to introduce myself and say HI. I was very lucky to recently pick up a vintage Graflex. The previous owner already did a visual conversion but I would like to add lights and sound. A crystal kit would be great! I was impressed with the old Master Yoda kits that were sold several years ago. Are there any resources specifically for genuine Graflex's?

Thanks so much.

Hey you have a lot of options. If you want a crystal reveal chamber by YODA you can jump on the list here, it's a DIY kit around $320. You pick the finish type and he sends it ot you. He gets kits in every month or so. http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=47576.0

Your other option is go custom and build it yourself. For that you're going to want a graflex blade adapter which you can get here: http://www.graflexshop.com/ . Either way you're going to want to watch these guide

Thank you so much! I'm a newbie to sabers and appreciate all your help! I'm usually pretty good with navigating forums and finding out what I'm looking for, but for some reason, this has been rather confusing. :)

We're in the same boat! I'm actually working on my first build as well and it's a TFA graflex with a crystal chamber! I only shared with you the things that i dug up in my research. Share what you build, I'll be doing it as well when I'm done!

Here's some inspiration to give you ideas:

Hi guys. I finally got a hold of a Nano Biscotte. I'm looking to get the rest of the electronics slowly. Does anyone have a guide as to how re-use the vintage red button? I had incoorectly assumed that it was an actual button that I could reuse. I unscrewed it for the first time today and noticed there aren't any contacts on the underside. It's basically a plunger.

The Graflex Shop blade adapter has a small channel that's milling out that sits under the read button area for you to put a momentary switch and run the wires back down to the center, so it works out really well. You can use the slightly taller ones that TCSS sells and cut them down to whatever size you need, or drill a hole into your button on the bottom to fit the top of the switch into.

Lots of people use a pololu board with a momentary switch underneath that lets you use the action of the red button to push another electronic button. Some sound boards, I think like the Nano Biscotte, let you use a momentary switch without need for an extra board to convert the switch to latching. I would say try wiring up the board once you get a battery pack etc and press the momentary switch, if it works then just place it under the red button and the action of the red button will activate the momentary switch

Thanks JaxAndTheMoon ! I need to get both of those!

Pro-tip: make extra double super positive you don't accidentally wire your positive and negatives backwards on the board...
