Official V3 Nike MAG Replica Thread - V3 Discussion Thread

My only concern for these is shipping...I order alot from David, I just had a package seized by DHL customs, I'm pretty ****ty, it was 450$ worth of shoes, they said they will reship to my moms address, however I'm nerves about dropping 1300$ and no guarantee shipment will come thru, keep in mind this happen on 1/50 of my shipments....

what i still don't get is how these customs people can even tell an item is authentic or not.
its a load of crap imo. i bet it people open up packages and keep them.

I'm fairly certain that customs works with IP holders like Nike and have specified certain countries or provinces that ship the majority of counterfeit items. It's not surprising at all
 
DHL is fast but dangerous...I doubt they have every manufacturer brand and label checking each package, I bet they may have a Nike & Adidas specialist however the shoes I ordered weren't even Nike or Adidas they were Margielas...

Today I received the photos from Joyce and I would like some advice from you in this group.
First of all, I'd like to know if these Mags you see in the photo, they are the model with improved Led.
Secondly, I noticed a strange position in the section of the 3 colored LEDs.
Is it my impression or, in fact, is not positioned correctly?
Please give me some advice.

The LEDs do look a little bit off. The sole on the right shoe appears to be more yellowed / darker then the sole on the left one as well. Other then that, great pair. If you can get past the slightly off LEDs and the different soles. then i'd say go for it

In other news, i've taken a look at the splat pattern on the PL Mags on David's site, and compared them with the one Mag that was being passed around for all the videos. It's a match. Same one that was passed around.

These look OK to me. You have to remember that the lens (bubble) creates an optical distortion here.

If you are referring to the gap around the bubble on the right shoe, it could be from how they glued the heel cup down. It won't fall out if that is what you are worried about.

No doubt at some point, NIKE would have advised them at NIKE MAGs shipping out of China are not their product. I don't think it is that high on the list when guns and drugs are what they should be looking for. They do x-ray all (suspect boxes) and I would not be surprised if customs staff don't snag the odd pair here and there. I don't see the specifically looking for MAGs as these shoes are not liked by everyone. Some think they are down right ugly and I think they rocks in their head.

You can tell these are the updated because the light levels of the photos are consistent and they have not taken a close up and clamped down aperture to kill the light from the LEDs.

I just want to know if these new light versions are available in US7 yet?

Who did the 3D model? Toe box is a bit short, but overall, this looks cool. What does it look like from the back? And is the model all one part or are there separate elements - ie upper, sole/mid-sole?

Some random person has done the model. i found it on myminifactory. The back does say Nike Mag in the same way. i believe the guy who designed it wanted it to be more of a cartoon style rather then super accurate. looks pretty awesome tho.
