After spending some time correcting some problems this is where the back stands now. Making some diner then going to attach the sides and work on connecting it to the chest to prepare for fiberglass.

Here is where I got to last night before I passed out. Only and hour left of work and a train ride home and I'll be clocking in some more hours tonight!
. As you can see the arms are all put together and ready to attach then I only have to put on the parts that go over the shoulder and we are complete as far as the back goes.

Looks great man. How do you like working with cardboard?
If I attempt iron man armor I was also thinking cardboard then resin/bondo etc.

Yeah I'm actually going to resin and bondo these parts too. As for working with it I like it a lot. Its much quicker in my opinion than doing a normal pep build because there are less parts and no tabs. The thing is you need to think for yourself a bit when it comes to knowing where you need to score and cut to get things to bend just right. The only major downside in my opinion is cutting everything out of the cardboard. My forefinger is still numb from cutting out the back and that was like 2 days ago XD.

The back is done! Now to attach it to the chest so that I can resin them together to prevent warping!

Thinking about what part I want to step into next... Any suggestions/requests? Already got chest, back, both shoulders, and one forearm. Maybe I could do one of the parts I want to make out of foam?

All ready for resin. Seeing it all together makes me feel accomplished after these last few weeks and has me inspired to keep on building

Haha you should! I'm starting to prefer it to the paper method. Going to do a foam cod tonight after I get home from work then I think I'm going to attempt a shin on cardboard.

I'm thinking of building a custom harness for this thing so I'll be gutting the brace file for the ascetic piece that come up behind the neck. As for the collar plates I have never seen them as extremely necessary.

Show me one fan build that is. I'm not going necessarily for screen accurate. Don't get me wrong I'm trying to get as close as I can with this casual build of mine but I just don't see that collar piece as a necessary part to make when I can get the same look other ways and doing less work.

Thanks the next part of the build marathon starts later today after I get off work. Going to be knocking out foam parts this week. I want to do the cod but my rear is a bit big so It'll be interesting to play with the scaling since it's a part I have no prior experience with doing. Typically I just upscale the part by 10% to work with my size. Damn my stupid big butt!
