Along with my Hellboy prop pick ups I also got a Police Synth costume from the Collin Farrel Total Recall.

Thanks. They do pop up from time to time but they almost never have a helmet. I guess people buy them and keep the helmet and sell the rest. I do change things up quite often. When it is time for it to go I will contact you if you like. If you are still looking then it will be available.Congratulations! I had my eye on that from the last Prop Store auction. Just not the right timing for me. Hopefully another one turns up.
Looks amazing!
I thought the synthetic suits always have the helmet, except the one Paul Wintner owns (he sold the suit, which I predicect is now married to the only other loose helmet I know of) and the 2 black suits. Even the uniforms I know of have the helmets, apart from the black ones (not even sure if they made black helmets). Would be interesting to see which synthetics you know of without helmet.Thanks. Aha. Did not see the white synthetics without helmet. May I ask where you saw those for sale?I was doing a bit of speculation based on the three synths I have seen sold in the last six months. Two were white and one was black. All three were complete with the exception of the helmet and balaclava. This was why I picked up this one. A decision I wrestled with. I actually bought it post auction with an emailed offer.
Icons of Pop Culture sold a black one without a helmet and a white one with it. I honestly cannot remember where I saw the others sold. My memory isn’t as great as it used to be. Perhaps I am misremembering but I feel pretty certain that I saw them sold as previously stated. But I have been wrong before.Aha. Did not see the white synthetics without helmet. I have about 8 white synthetics on file (research) that all had their helmets and one loose helmet. 2 black suits have sold in the last year (one missing several pieces) and one complete as far as I know, both without the helmet (I was told those helmets were re-used in a different production).
Smart that you made a post auction bid. The price they were asking was at the far end of the marketprice.
Check. Jeff has been the main source for these as far as I know. First through ScreenUsed and now through Icons. They are lovely pieces. Your photos are very interesting, especially on the paint. Is the chest pieces also hand brushed?Icons of Pop Culture sold a black one without a helmet and a white one with it. I honestly cannot remember where I saw the others sold. Sorry for the delay in my reply. Here is another pic to answer your question. Yes it appears to be almost all brush painted.Check. Jeff has been the main source for these as far as I know. Thanks! That is very interesting. Didn't expect that about the armour before I saw your photos.Sorry for the delay in my reply. Here is another pic to answer your question. Yes it appears to be almost all brush painted.

The chest armor.

this is the inside of the left leg.
As you can see it was all hand painted. There are brush strokes all over the armor. The Helmet was not. It is spray painted fiber glass and smoked acrylic.
Pretty awesome! I met Gill Gerard a few years ago. I was telling him how much I loved the Blu Ray. But the ladies outfits from that show dominated the conversation.Well, I can't let you dominate this thread so here is my new prop. A Buck Rogers laserpistol. I cleaned of dirt with a dry cottonswab and added a replacement emitter that I was able to friction fit. Now on to more Buck pieces.

Thanks. The ladies in the show were great, perfect show for the time. The original opening...wow. Not sure if you know, but the US is getting a region A locked blu ray box, with a new better source for the movie (which also will be available as a stand alone release). Wish it was region free, so I could get the movie (already have the Australian box) as I need region B..Pretty awesome! I met Gill Gerard a few years ago.
