Doin' the happy dance, right now, fellas. Soo.... please excuse any typos that may follow:

A lot of you gents already know that my house was compromised last Thursday while I was at work. (this is what I get for working for a living)... GRRRR!!!

Anyhoo... the last few days have been quite the emotional roller coaster for me. I've been trying to keep my stuff together and know there are posts floating around that are more than welcome to be merged back here. If so, please take note of any date shifts. It's all good. :D
Lemme just start out with this. I'll leave it up to you to fill in the blanks.

Hi Sarah,
Re: Burgulary at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks again for coming out today and meeting with me. As suggested
per our conversation, I've attached several images to this message.
DSCF0006.jpg - with a little luck, this is the condition my pulse
rifle replica should be in when/if recovered

Please keep me informed with the latest on this as time permits. I
know that in the greater scheme of things, this is a minor recovery.
But, to me, the work on this piece represents close to six years of
my life and funding.
Thanks so much. If there is anything else that I can help you with,
please don't hesitate to let me know.
Tom
I got your photos and will put them up in the squad room, the prints I took,
> two are of the side of the hands, palm prints, where he/she was looking in.
> I also got one partial fingerprint that might be good enough, I will send
> them in to the lab.

06.30.09 Mobile pic at the Sherrif's office. ...they pulled a trace of blood off the rear end of the gun. ...Those damn sharp metal stocks 'n stuff. LOL!!
The shop owner described the person I suspected to the letter. ....There were quite a few fine gents in uniform that enjoyed holding this replica. ...and my baby's finally home.

Now, I'm not going to even address what I would do to the rat ******* that took this from my home, right now. I am certain there is a ton of things that I've failed to mention in this post. I am celebrating, right now. ....and intend to get the rest of may **** back!!!!

Thank you all,

Wow, heck of a story! I'd keep the "weathering" if it were up to me, but then again I am a Star Wars guy. Glad to hear you got it back, hope they find the culprits soon.

Is the counter missing?!

Other than that, I kinda like it like that, it looks more realistic to have it scuffed up than it being flawless.

congrats on getting that back! I would definitely keep the scars though - They're at least natural looking.

Yeah Tom, I'm WICKED sorry to hear about the break in. There's ALWAYS some lowlife sleazbag that thinks it's alright to make a few bucks by taking things that others have worked hard for. I hope they catch the guy.

As far as the rifle, I think it looks incredible WITH the scrapes and scratches, PLUS it makes an AWESOME story about the dim-wit burglar who took it thinking it was REAL, THEN threw it away after finding out it was not a real gun, THEN didn't realize that he actually had something really VALUABLE in his hands before he got rid of it, and now you have her back. I'm telling you, man, I wouldn't touch a nick or scratch on her. She's WAY tougher like that! :)

You should get a gun safe. Yes, I know it's only a replica but you can get a 1200 pound gun safe for $300 and it's as good as a safe deposit box. You can even bolt it to the floor.

I keep all of my real guns, my airsoft guns, and my most valuable props and other items in my gun safe.

$300 is a pretty good investment when you start talking $1000+ guns, props, or other.

When I get my 2 HGC PR's, guess where they are goin! :)

Do you know the scumbag that took it and is he in custody?

If it's the guy I 'think' it is, no. I don't 'know' him. He's just some dude that moved in with his 'folks' next door. Met him once about two months ago. Loaned him $30 because his 'dad' was having car problems about 200 miles up North. I was supposed to be paid back the following 'Tuesday'.

He came back about 45 minutes later and told me he lost the money. ...asked for $15 more.... I ran him off.

He came back about two weeks ago. Started telling me about getting the money back to me. Before he even had the chance to ask, I told him to come back when he has the $30.

Ironic. Isn't it?

Have the cops spoken to him yet? Its almost always someone you know. With what you have in to that Rifle its a felony

I've sent an email to the detective assigned to the case, earlier. ...Yessir. Thanks for the confirmation. I've got the paperwork to back it up too. ...that is, if it's ever needed. Hopefully not. I like for my own reputation to speak for itself. ;)

For a minute there I thought they ripped out the underbarrel shotgun attatchment and then went and actaully looked at your first pic to see it and the counter already not in there.

Damn Tom, sorry to hear about the break in....:angry

Good to know things are looking up as far as the cops catching the guy!

As I said on the Legacy, glad to hear this one had a happy ending.

I concur with the gun safe. I bought one the week after my stuff went missing. I put all my airsoft in it.

Kevin

So glad to see that this ended relatively well for you, even as frustrating as it is. Best of luck with getting the rest of your stuff back, and with nailing the POS.

Glad you got your Pulse Rifle back. :thumbsup I'm curious how the flea market knew to call you.

When my car was broken into, the person cut themselves and left blood and even bloody fingerprints, but when I talked to the detective he told me they don't fingerprint unless there's a felony. I know there are so many break-ins every day, but you would think if they fingerprinted and actually investigated they might catch this person which is probably the same person that has broke into many other homes and autos.
