it says its metal, which is cool. but youll probably have to repaint it.

the visor moves, BUT.. the movie one was one peice wasnt it? i would think they would have made it custom for Ian Mckellan's head.

I wonder if it's made to look like it's one piece, but if you look how snug it fits to his head, it would almost have to be two pieces. Either it was done as a visor or they had to fasten it together each time some how. Story wise it would make sense because in the story he would reshape it after putting it on so no one else could take it off (because it doesn't look like you could just pull it off). Since he wouldn't want to be exposed to any telepaths... especially Xavier or Jean.
It's also why it doesn't look right on someone else (even if it was accurate), because they don't have McKellan's head.

it seems like i remember a BTS bit where Ian had the helmet on without the front part and they(singer probably) snapped it on. but i cant remember what DVD that was on. had to be one of the first 2 as X3 had like almost no bonus features.
