Its a mix of the two. reference for the X1 version is scarce. and X2 is a little better.

stunning; interested in the "kit" idea. i am a broke loser as of right now and the list of want to buys and need to buys are getting a little frightening, but i do want one. really nice work.

Got a Little more done today. Got the wings started and the vents cut into the body. next up go over the body again. add panel llines and cut outs for the engine intake and make the exhaust nozzles.

Hi, Thanks. No its dense urethane foam. I just sand with 320 and go directly to primer.

Very nice.
Even though it's modeled on the film version of the X-Jet I can't help but hear the cartoon theme in my head when I see this and imagine the jet flying over the ocean as in the opening credits.

Ok little update. got the wings finished, and started on the panel lines on the main body. Tape and primer method on this.. just need to add a few windows and the X on top.
