Pretty awesome read. I hope they tie this into the story of the movie.

Sounds like Mystique is the other Oswald. Not sure I get the Jack Ruby part though... except that someone infected him with cancer, but not sure about the hole in his memory. Would that have actually been Xavier? Is this saying that in this original timeline Xavier was leading the pro-mutant force and Magneto was actually trying to stop his plans... and that's why the future X-men send someone back in time... to set Xavier on the right path to avoid the anti-mutant future?

I'm guessing they're taking creative liberties with the original storyline. I could be wrong though.

Either way... this has got me a little more excited about the movie.

Could be explain the whole "We need you to hope again" line as in Xavier goes into the darkside and that is what sets the death squads and war off.

I think the chest plates on Wolvie are a weird shape. Not flattering.

Also, butt-cape on Magneto?!?!

Enlarged for your viewing pleasure-

EDIT: Image removed at the demand of Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation.

I do like that we are getting something that sort of looks like Magneto's armored cape holder from the comics in both of the the costumes though.

Maybe since his healing power was (for a little amount of time) diminished in this movie, possibly the film makers could use this as a way to deal with the fact that Jackman is aging. Still looks great, yeah, but you CAN tell.

^^ yep they can say even though he can heal, the almost dying made him lose a few decades and so he looks 15 years older compared to X1

Yep, those are Singer's direct quotes from Entertainment Weekly.

Though many aren't fan of Paquin's portrayal of the character, Rogue fans in general are going to be quite disappointed.

'X-Men': Major change in 'Days of Future Past' -- EXCLUSIVE | Inside Movies | EW.com

"Director Bryan Singer has revealed to EW exclusively that a rescue sequence - shot early in the film’s production and featuring Magneto (Ian McKellen), Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Rogue (Anna Paquin), and Iceman (Shawn Ashmore) - has been cut from the final film. Sadly, this means that Rogue’s screen time has been significantly chopped down as well."

“Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous,” explains Singer. “It’s a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she’s in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won’t appear in it.”

Singer emphasizes that the decision had nothing to do with the Oscar-winning True Blood star, who was on set for only week of Days of Future Past, or with her performance. “She did a fantastic job,” says the director. “She was awesome in the sequence. She’s a brilliant actress. I would work with her in a heartbeat.”

Singer, who is still editing the film in advance of its release on May 23, 2014, has already broken the news to Paquin. “She completely understood,” he says. “It’s very disappointing, but she’s very professional and she knows that stuff happens, particularly with material you shoot early on in production. Films evolve.”

To tell you the truth, doesn't phase me one bit. She was a really annoying and whinny rogue. Rogue to me is a strong, takes crap from nobody kinda woman. Her being gone won't affect the film.

I'm going to miss her myself...I was looking forward to seeing her in this one. Having said that, if it was just one scene it wouldn't have satisfied me anyway.
