Worst Costumes and Props

Surprised this show hasn't shown up here:

I have come to hate the design of Luke's lightsaber in ANH and ESB. It is incredibly non-ergonomic, and it looks exactly like what it's made from - a camera flash handle, with a window wiper cut into strips.

I think it's the other way around... Graflex modeled their flash handles after Luke's lightsaber, while windsheild wiper manufacturers saw those grips and thought, "Hey, those look like they'd be really good at wiping away water!"

I know you're joking, but weren't those Graflex handles manufactured in the 1920s or earlier?

A long time ago is relative. Could've been like 2 months ago.
A galaxy far far away... from where? Andromeda? In that case, Star Wars could take place in the Milky Way ;)

Has anyone mentioned that the control panel that fired the Death Star in Star Wars Episode 4 was actually a video switching console? Probably leftovers from the most recent upgrade of the editing suite at Lucas Films...

The Majority of costumes and props from star trek tos were pretty bad. I guess any of the Godzilla early movie full city props were pretty bad most of the armies he crushed are available in the dollar stores. then again I can picture some but can`t recall the names of the movies. the stuff in the movie The Stuff lol Eating yogurt = Mindless slaves.

I would like to add the rocky picture horror show costumes.

Can't post pics with my telephone but I'm sure someone here may has some pics to share.

Firearms in space make practical sense. Exploding gunpowder can be used in hard vacuum because gunpowder produces its own oxygen. As long as its a closed cartridge, it will fire. Flintlocks, and percussion therefore, make little sense offworld.

Old west guns in a space frontier setting also makes perfect sense. They are designs that are proven to work, and they might not have access to expensive, advanced or automatic weapons that would be more available on core worlds.

Comparing the LeMat to the Mauser Broomhandle is apples and oranges. They're both unique guns and no amount of dressing up will change that. Your preference of one or the other is directly proportionate to the fandom you support.

I am in no way a Star Wars fan. My reasons for not being one are mostly the fans. That said, I have no quarrel whatsoever with any fan, or fandom on this board. I came here to learn, and share.

Ugliest costume? I think the male miniskirt from the first season of TNG was ugly.

I can't agree. I thought that an excellent job was done conveying her look as an Empress. The outfits have a cohesive look to them which is reminiscent of a Chinese empress. I've always loved Queen Amidala's wardrobe. :thumbsup

Is it just me, or is there a conundrum in there somewhere?
