Working on rocketeer pep. helmet

Hiya guys folks...

Ok, I'm ANOTHER one of those newbies...long time lurker, first time poster. I'll start with a question or two but I promise to conbtribute and share what I'm doing!

So, I've been toying with some pep stuff and recently finished assembling a rocketeer helmet pep. But there is no real bracing on the inside to help determine the exact width at the base etc.

Would someone be able to measure their helmet base and give me an idea of the width/length measurements? I can eyeball it, but I'd rather have more accurate specs to start out with!
