Working on lifesize Ewok build.

While doing all my foam work I want to venture into other types of builds. So I am doing an ewok. Love them or hate them I hope you enjoy the build.
I made the head out of paper mache, I blew up a balloon and then built up the face. Once dry I made the nose, lips and teeth out of fimo oven dry clay. I hot glued them in place.
The fur I got from the bargain store, it is not perfect but I am hoping it will do for this build and if the build goes well then I may invest in better fur. I bought 2 fur throw blankets for $15 each, I chose 2 colours that were close in shade but different enough to stand out from each other.
I applied the fur with a hot glue gun, it was pretty easy, just have to take your time and make sure you don't get any glue on the fur. The ears are made with foam covered in fur.
The eyes are just pieces of plastic I am going to find something better soon. Applying the fur to the face only took an hour.

I don't think you really need to; they look pretty accurate to me. Maybe polish them up, or coat them with Future or some other gloss clear coat to give them a little more shine, but otherwise they look just fine.

Nice work, by the way. I can't say I'm a huge Ewok fan, but I don't find them to be as intolerable as some Star Wars fans do and I like what you've done so far.

Sigh ... I opened this thread hoping for an article on genetic manipulation to create a creature/being using knowledge which flies in the face of God ...

Update: I made a skeleton out of PVC pipe and used teddy stuffing to pad it and covered it with duct tape to keep the padding together. I would like to thank Andrewshaddox for his ewok build thread, it has really helped me with mine.

Spent three hours on the build today, I got him completely skinned, I just need to make the fingers and toes so i can do the hands and feet. Then I need to make a better headdress and some feathers and stuff.
