So I'm a total beginner to Pepakura building and I'm going to embark on building Iron Man more specifically the Mark 7 and I've been looking into finishing methods.

I know Fiberglass Resin, Fiberglass mats+Body filler like Bondo etc is typically the go-to method for builds, foam or otherwise but has anyone tried using cheaper and safer stuff like Wood Glue? Can you still get a nice finish by using it and other types of gap fillers that don't poison your lungs?

Im not sure about wood glue as i never used it before. But if youre worried about safety you should go get a respirator

I might suggest using EVA foam for the base model. You should use a laser printer to cut out the foam and use a glue gun to stick the bits together. Its really cheap and easy and good to make. The helmet is durable and looks just like the original. By the way the foam works really good with glossy spray paint

Yeah I agree with this...Foam + Glue Gun tends to be the quickest way and relatively cheap, plus there are no fumes from glue sticks when its hot and espeically once it has hardened...

To ensure the foam adheres together better, you just need to score the area you are gluing..plenty of tutorials online my friend...good luck!!!
