They cleared a lot of the stuff, from what I understand. But, according to tvshowsondvd.com there are some substitutions. Hugh Wilson was involved in making the changes, and he says he's happy with the few things they changed.
Things that CANNOT be changed include: "Tiny Dancer" it made no sense with another song and the Russian guy saying "Hold me closer, (something else)," to Bailey; when the format changes and Johnny plays "Queen of the Forest" by Ted N; and after his daughter leaves he spins "The Long Run" as he reads her letter. Travis runs in and yells something like, "That's on the playlist. It's a hit.."
Oddly enough, when I was 14 and wanted to go into radio, I thought I'd end up like Fever. Middle-aged, burned out, and a lot of cool stories at some low-rated AM station in an okay sized market. I almost made it, too. I left radio before I got middle-aged, but I was burned out and have a lot of cool stories. Except I worked at a low-rated FM station in NC.
I need to pick up one of those "Black Death Malt Liquor" t-shirt Fever wore on EvilBay.
