WIP - TNG Isolinear Chips

Here are a couple of photos in natural light which may be a better representation of the true color of the front part:

Just been reading what has been said, i did have an idea but i dont know it it would work. I have this plastic bead stuff, that softens in hot water and can be molded in to shapes. When it cools, it turns in to a off white colour.

I might give this a looking at, not sure how I could make it a perfect square shape as i've only ever rolled it in to sausage shapes.

If anyone can come up with a solution, I'll be all ears as i'm very willing to give this a try, just to help out a fellow member :)

***Time for an update***

Hey everyone, well as you know I've been working on this, after the whole issue with having the circuit image wrong, i've now corrected the issue. So hopefully these are now accurate to the screen used one's. Aside from being laser etched and not silk screened. Tho in my opinion they probably would have made them like this if trek was being made today. It certainly the more robust approach :)

The yellow chips are from the first run i made, as such they have the circuit pattern lined up on both sides, unlike how they where on the show and how they are going to be done in future.

I will be doing them in green and blue, however i'm waiting to find a proper green as the one i did fine was closer to the yellow..And the TNG green chips where like a grass green.

Thought i'd post this here for a giggle

"Damn it Wesley not again!!!"

I shall make a JY thread tonight and yes I will be selling the wrong printed one's at discount. As I owe my friend for the time he's taken for doing these for me. He's truly been fantastic thus far, helps that he's a big trekkie as well :D

I was going to stick to the colours in the show, I'm also thinking of doing some 1st season tng chips. I know they are pretty plain, but i thought seeing as how this has become and epic quest for iso chips, might as well cover them all lol

Colours used were definitely Blue Yellow Orange and Green. Red & Clear look way too cool to leave out :lol

I may be asleep later on when you post the JY thread, so dibs, first on the list :lol

Truely well done! You know, the label is with intent larger than circumference, you have to cover the small overhang with the number part and cut don't off the label too close at the black circuit.

You can see here in the VOY variant:

TomorrowI'm doing it very similair to that, but I'll mimic the method in that photo on the future ones :)

*UPDATE*

There is now a thread in the junkyard for those interested in getting the first run. The next set will have graphics done properly and labels wrapped like in the above pic. I want these to look spot on :)

Expect to see pix of voyager and season 1 TNG chips in the next few days :)

You should post the link here.

As per YenChih Lin's request that I go that little step further and stick the labels on in the same manner. I thought I'd post the follow in hopes of satisfying his undying need to accuracy ;)

This chip has the graphics in the right order and the label applied in the way directed by Yenchih Lin. Hopefully it'll make him happy.
