WIP: Rebel Endor rifle(s)

Re: WIP: Rebel Endor rifle

Looks good! What's this the second or third one you've built while I'm working on my first? :lol ;)

Re: WIP: Rebel Endor rifle

Skipped a few steps. Nearly done now, just a few screws to be added. Next upgrade will be a real M16 receiver.

Re: WIP: Rebel Endor rifle

Looks great!

What did you end up using for the piece right behind the wood grip? Also where'd the see the F4 wheel(I assume) stuck on the V8 part? I stuck the V8 part on mine just because I thought it looked cool on the VD rifle. I haven't see any pics of that side of this rifle though. BTW, if the V8 part goes like above I have mine on like the VD rifle so let me know!

Re: WIP: Rebel Endor rifle

I used a flat piece of plastic for the U shaped piece. The F4E wheel and V8 part (and the piston halves) are just sitting on there temporarily but it's a good bet the V8 part was originally on this version of the rifle as it covers the logo.

The jury is still out on the piston halves as they just do not fit the space on the original prop and the holes are too close together.

I never even gave two shakes about this blaster design. Now after seeing how awesome yours looks, it goes on the dream list of prop replicas I want but I will never have.

Now I feel sad. :cry

Okay so you don't know for sure if they were like that? I really don't want to tear mine off and redo it! :lol I thought maybe you had pics I hadn't seen or something.

Re: WIP: Rebel Endor rifle

Bear in mind that the lower receiver currently on the PoSW rifle is not the original receiver. The upper receiver is original but the lower was replaced at some point after filming.

I am confident that the original receiver did have the V8 part to hide the logo.

Re: WIP: Rebel Endor rifle

Okay thanks. I'm just going to leave the V8 part how I have it until I see different. As for the lower receiver, if it was different was it one with a different fence around the magazine release? I hope not that was a PITA to make! :lol At this point I may just send you pics of mine and ask what I"ve got right. ;)

Started collecting parts for the Visual Dictionary version.

These will show you where some of the add on parts are taken from the Jackal stocks:
