WIP - 44 Automag from Sudden Impact

Just started another replica weapon build. Got the main parts rough cut and test assembled. Should be a relatively quick build for a pretty classic weapon.

We have a winner! The classic Automag with 8.5" barrel.

I wish I'd had the foresight (and been old enough) to have bought one way back. They sold for around $200 and are now worth around $3000-4000! Even with inflation, thats a nice profit

Haha. Yeh, it would be easier. Most of the weapons I make aren't for any reason other than seeing if I can, although a few go with costumes. Without sounding like a smartass, I guess its the same as buying a drawing of someone versus drawing one myself.

Airsoft version runs about $140-$160-ish, depending on black or silver finish. I think there are only two companies that still make them, but they're scarce far as availability is concerned.

I never owned one but I have fired them, they are quite the handful!

I was a lucky (punk) to have picked up the Marushin "Clint" .44 Automag when it first came out. Functions like the real thing. Very small quantities made.
