Willy Wonka Gobstopper

Now clever folks out there is there anybody who would be able to make me a replica of the everlasting gobstopper that appeared in the 1971 willy wonka film. The 3rd picture i found on google. Ive seen a couple on Ebay but personaly they didnt look very good atall.

That would be very cool to go with my Golden Ticket! ;-)

I will ask Julie if she can get a clean shot of her screen used Gobstopper for me. She is busy with family and such but i will see what she can do. In the meantime i would say the best bet is to get screen caps that are clear and do a extensive research online. The Willy Wonka book might also have a good shot of one, i would have to double check though to see if it does show one or not in detail.

a pack of small jujubes, some paint and a good amount of varnish will get you a Willy Wonka Gobstopper.

It doesn't seem to be tranparent, so just some modelling clay, paint and some clear spray would probably do it.

I wound up hiring someone to model the gobstopper in 3D, and then used Shapeways to 3D print it in "White Strong and Flexible" plastic. Once I received it, I made a small rubber mold of this "master", and then cast about 30 resin copies, which I then had to painstakingly hand-paint using my daughter's fingernail polish. LOL

Here was my final 3D model, as rendered by Shapeways:
