I have dealt with them on more than one occassion, both by mail and in person. I have mixed feelings. I made a trade deal with them and they only sent me half of what they agreed to. It took them a year and a half to send me the rest and they did not send what they agreed to send, but to be fair, what they DID send was more valuable than what we originally agreed upon, so go figure. :unsure (I think they just forgot what ir was they were supposed to send)
I've seen them at least a half a dozen times at conventions and though I wouldn't call them "shady" I would certaily call them questionable (keep in mind they have no idea who I am in person). All of their stuff is recast, thrown together and badly painted. However, for the average con-goer who is not as picky about their props as we are, it's perfect. Their prices are very fair but you get what you pay for. Perfect for trooping but certainly not for display.
Then there was the time they had a Darth Vader lightsaber made from a Heiland (VERY rough and hardly accurate!) on their table at a convention. It had scrapes and rust all over the thing! I asked why it was worth 300.00 and he said that it was an MR piece that they intentionally weathered to be more accurate. He said that these normally sell for 600.00 but this was a "con special". Now, for those that know me also know that my girlfriend is as well versed with props as I am, so when they guy at Wilco's table told me this tall tale, my GF had to drag me away before I read him the riot act!
