Why y'all don't need to worry 'bout Spider-Man.

I don't care either way. Don't plan on seeing it unless i'm bored and it's on HBO or something.

But as to why people get a bad vibe? Really? Arguably the most important decision to be made in a movie like this is the costume. They put their biggest choice out for the world to see and it's not even a choice, it looks totally made up. I know they've done numerous suits in the comics, though i don't read them, but that one wasn't even in the comics.

If you make a bad choice on one of the most important aspects of the movie, it doesn't bode well for the rest.

I just realized this wasn't some ass Jim Carrey clip.:$

(500) Days of Summer had what most movies lack: heart. And that's more than you guys deserve; seriously, all this whining 'bout a costume is silly.

I loved 500 Days. I think I even created a thread, just based on that movie. I'll stand behind Webb's decisions, but this suit...maybe I'll change my mind when the trailer hits. I liked the promo shot, but the leaks aren't doing it for me.

Cry me a river.

I'm sure the bodies of the crybabies will float down it when they kill themselves over the costume not being "right".

lol, what? You know I was defending the director and his choice and in the end agreeing with you, right?

Ok... personally I only hope two things occur in this new re-telling of Spiderman... #1 - No more stupid organic web shooters... we want the mechanical ones that he has to refill with cartridges or he falls or gets into trouble... and #2 - Inner Monologue when hes swinging thru the city and his bad puns when provoking the bad guys... comon... Sam Raimi did a great job bringing Spidey to the big screen, but that last movie was a joke. Keep it about one villian at a time... don't go the route of Batman and let Hollywood dictate to us what should be in a movie... let the fans be in on the process of a change. As for the director... Never heard of him... but then again, I never heard of George Lucas until Star Wars... or Steven Speilburg until Jaws. Back then there was no internet to go to find out who's doing what in Hollywood... it was all word of mouth or thru magazines... Give the guy a chance to show what he can do on the big screen before you decide that he's gonna ruin everything. Can't be much worse then Batman and Robin and the guy that decided that Val Kilmer would make a good Bruce Wayne.

And Larry is the new Verta.

It's part of our plan to be a superhero duo: The Next Best Things!

The inner monologue and Spidey wisecracks is something I am really hoping for in this movie.

I really wanna see Rhino and Kingpin and Vulture make an appearence, but not the major focus... the thing about Spidey that I loved so much was the interwoven storyline. It didn't just fix on one villian, you had tons of villians around, and Spidey had to give them a smackdown when they got outta line or went too far. I'm sure Doc Ock will make a reappearence too... couldn't keep a good bad guy down for long!

I used to have this one comic when I was a little kid that had Hulk battling the Abomination and Rhino. I always liked that villain team-up. Ever since then I've always thought of the Rhino as a better villain for the Hulk than Spider-Man but he's definitely a villain I'd like to see at some point in one of these Marvel movies.
