Either personal, or what company will be doing it?
I already have it in the works-- CAD design is done and it is at the machinist awaiting time on the machine.!!!!
Wasn't it designed by one of our members?

This will be machined out of a solid block of billet aluminum. I have been working on this one for a while now to get the right design , dimensions, etc.
It will be approximately 9 x 5 x 5 and the handle will be about 16" long. It will have custom sculpted components for the handle that give it the same look and feel as the screen used one.
Cost is yet to be determined by machine time and material cost.
Due to the knotwork and detailed design, there is a lot more machining time involved in this than most of the other ones I have done, so machine costs go up-- Ill know after its completed.

Here is the CAD file picture on it as well
As far as the pics-- which one are you referring to? the handle or the head?? The head came from my CAD system and the handle came from some source online that showed the movie version, I have referenced so many versions that Im not sure exactly where I got it, but after watching the movie (Iron Man 2) and doing some screencaps this looked like the best representation of the handle.
depending on the cost for the machined ones I may offer them, but I have a feeling that due to machining costs presently I will be the only one that has one of these in solid metal. Maybe resin versions will be available after I get the first one done and see the costs involved. I have some other plans to have acces to CNC machines myself and that will make them more affordable for sure.
I'm not sure when I'll have time, but I am thinking about making the movie version hammer as well.
I already made one from the comics, but I am interested in making this one. I might also try my hand at the movie helmet, but that is lower on down the list than the hammer.
Im thinking about building a custom motorcycle that will do 350 miles an hour too-- no wait--its a working transporter machine, or possibly a time travel machine, but not sure when ill have time-- not high on my list right now.
Not to be an a$%hole here, but if you ARE thinking about it-- then post some progress pics, reference material, drawings, etc, something that shows credible progress and intent. Thinking about something and actually doing them are miles apart. Just a bit of advice. Would get better responses if you have something to show. Have a great one all!
Well thats good work there-- Sorry if I came off wrong-- its just that the thread title is "who WILL be doing a Thor movie version" not "who is THINKING about doing a Thor movie version" I have just seen so many threads that have good intents and people are "thinking" about making something and then it just evaporates.I'm not sure if you remember, but the title of this thread is "Who will be doing a Thor movie version hammer?"
I was simply stating that I was thinking about doing one.....Just answering the question. You are right about two things...being an A$$hole and that thinking and doing are two different things. Because of that fact, I said I am thinking about making one, not I am making one.
I guess if you need proof that I've actually done something, here you go: http://www.therpf.com/f9/first-project-completed-mjolnir-92090/
