Who/what should I sculpt?

Hey all!

I'm learning how to sculpt (using the incredible tutorials over at the Stan Winston School), and I'm using WED to make a maquette. I'm just sculpting for the sake of making something that hopefully looks good, but I'm blanking on what I can sculpt. I want to sculpt an existing character so that I can have something specific to shoot for. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I would love to see a 1:1 scale Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) or a Walter White (Breaking Bad). I've seen very few attempts at these characters and would love to see someone do one.

Phyllis Diller
George Carlin
Herman Munster
Brad Garret
Maxine (Hallmark)
Velocius Raptor
gorilla
Generic old man

I'd say try a monkey, a gorilla, or even chewbacca. I think doing something with a lot of hair is easier to do when your starting out because the hair hides a lot of the more refined anatomy that a human character would have. That's how it was for me anyway when I first started sculpting.
good luck with whatever you decide to go with.

Deadly Spawn, Invaders from Mars (remake) leader or Weird Science Turd Monster !!!

My first ever creature was a simple grey alien based on one of Casey Love's designs ... really gives you a good feel for shapes and forms :)

You know, I was just thinking,"Gosh, you just don't see many fan-made Heath Ledger Jokers, baby Groots, Batman cowls, or Iron Man helmets on the internet." So maybe one of those?
