Who made this Mace Windu saber? Ep 2

I bought a Mace Windu Episode 2 lightsaber here a number of years ago, I believe just as the MR Mace came out. I love it when MR makes something, I get an excellent fan made one for 1/5th its price! Same thing happened when I got these Got Maul Jango guns.

So the Mace.....
The brass parts are machined and held in place with glue, the grip area is a little roughly cut and the skins don't fit 100%. I'm not complaining though, I paid $90 for it.
I was curious about who made it.

I recall the seller mentioning that it was longer than the MR, which holds up as it sits in the case. Very nicely made, as you can see.

Was there a run of these? Would the maker please stand up and take a bow? I'd like it if I were unknowingly massing an RPF collection :cool

wish I'd been here back then. $90.00 for a mace saber (even if not perfect) is awesome.
I have a resin one I bought YEAAAARS ago on ebay that I added aluminum tape to but yours is a thing of beauty.
:thumbsup

I'm not 100% without seeing some better pics of it, but I THINK that was the one made by someone who is no longer a member here. The timeline adds up, as does the funky grip fit.

The saber itself truly is a work of art, and very very accurate to the screen used. I will be producing a small run of these in the future based on the same plans, but I guarantee they'll cost more than $90. Hold on to yours! And keep an eye out for my run. I plan on having sheets of the grip material made, so you can upgrade to something that fits better.

It was made by a former member. They origianlly sold for $300 if you were in on it at the beginning and if you got the brass parts that tacked on $100.

It is typically known as the SA (Saber Art) Mace.

It was started right around the time MR got the lic so it went private but there were many loose lips and other issues. The same group also did a Ki Adi, and Qui and the Adi G pieces.

Thanks for the info! I would definitely be interested in better grips, it's the only real flaw on the saber. Keep us posted please.

It's not the saberart one.

Different buttons, the section the buttons are on is different. There was no gap as shown to the left of the buttons (about 1/4" to the left on my screen).

Not to mention the conical shape towards the emitter wasn't a separate piece.

A good tell is in the brass ring section. Are the grooves at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o'clock or possibly just 3 and 9 perpendicular to the rings? If not, not saberart.
