I think the HCG/Toynami one is 99,9% accurate..you can see it at the HD-Specials on the new Terminator 4 BluRaydisc..they visit Stan Winston Workshop..there is a great Detailshot of an Original-Endo.Here a comparsion of my HCG/Toynami with the original:

No symetrical and long teeth in the lower jaw like the sideshow..the teeth at the HCG are the right one..same shape and size and not snowwhite.I think the sideshow looks great, but the HCG is the one to have it accurate.I cutted my soundchip at the HCG..now its perfect for me.The sound is the only flaw at this bust..but after cutting one cable its quiet.;-)

I like the HCG version - it happens to be the one I own and display. But the teeth are made out of cheap plastic. Grrrrr!

Yes the teeth are cheap, but from the distance the all over look is awesome.:love
They look like real teeth..not perfect like an ammobelt and too long like the sideshowbust.

@allosaur176: I think with this bust you made one of your best purchases ever.:)

Yeah from far the teeth look alright - they still bug me though. I've never seen the Icons in person but I hear good things about that one as well.

ICONS head mold was SQUISHED, which is why they are a little SHORTER.

The PF/ XFX is the best of all.

Molded off of a REal Head, slight mods/tells to tell it apart from an Original, otherwise, you would be hard pressed to do so.

The Sideshow (SS) are derived from those..and slightly smaller due to SHRINKAGE.

PF sold his masters to SS, who sent them to CHINA..where they were molded to death. Thats why the SS Endos look smaller,..however..SS endos were used in TERM SALVATION so...they are "original" movie props.

Sorta.

I would say it depends.

They are all nice in their own right. So far there hasn't been a offering of a T1 skull yet, but that's in the making.

LFS (is he the PF talked about above?) always had a nice look to his kits and offerings. He's currently selling off some spare parts, like a plasma rifle kit parts. Wish I had the money right now.

Just my 2 cents! But I think ICONS is!:confused

thermal:lol

As Frank mentioned above, the Icons is smaller in size. And I think the eyes lightning effect is far from perfection, to my taste !!! One thing which is really good with the Icons versions are the tooth. Really well made and a good weathering job on them.
The bad point on that one too is that you have to remove the display cover to move the switch for the eyes...embarassing !!! At one time, I had the idea to have a hole made in the cover, just to pass my finger to activate the switch...

I have heard that Icons understood that their skull was smaller when they were working on the complete Endoskeleton....so, they made a skull "in size" with the Endo squelette. I also heard that both sizes were used during filming.....not sure of that.

To me, Icons and Timeless are the same skulls. Except that Icons skulls were chrome dipped and Timeless were electro-plated. Except that, same company.

I've never heard of this one... same as HCG Toynami?

Been waiting a long time for a T1 skull. Tell me more.

Re: Sideshow busts

Don't forget they offer the removeable brain chip. A fun feature but the chip and port are oversized. I have read they had tweaked their masters for a more dramatic height/look.

DIY:

Most of the vinyl kits (w/separate jaw) you see on ebay are from the Japanese M1. More specifically, Monsters in Motion made a very nice recast of the M1, and that recast was copied for that kit. While the teeth are molded to the jaw in one piece, they are a representation of Arnold's teeth. A member here did a fantastic job with one of these, but I can't find the link.

If you're looking to build a kit keep your eyes open . There is an ebay seller out of HK who recast the HCG/Toynami and added a removeable chip and separate port. The great thing is they are accurately sized, and once in a while he electroplates one for you.

The M1 Is vinyl...so it shrank a bit.

I also believe it was from the TERMINATOR mold.

One of the nicest ones in my opinion....and chromed like that.

Awesome.

A guy over at Endo Builders is reverse engineering a skull into T1 specs.

Awesome.
No licensed (or fanmade) replica, to my, knowledge exists of the T1 style skull.

And once you know the details between the two it is easy to tell them apart.

This is a picture showing one of the main differences (from the guy doing the reverse engineering):

Thanks, Frank... Was one of my earliest 1:1 props. Got it from MiM way back in the day...
