What's the best way to paint PET

I have a project that requires me to paint some PET soda bottles. Does anyone have any good recommendations on the kind of paint to use and technique?

Lightly sand then primer the area to be painted first.

Division 6 hit the nail on the head. That's what I did for these bottles. I used Krylon Gray Primer.
I did the designs with Sharpie Water Based Paint Pens.
