what was use for tie fighter....

Krade, welcome to the RPF!
You could try searching for Tie Fighter in the Studio Scale Models section and read all of the threads. A lot of very useful information is contained within. It may take a while, but it will be very rewarding in the end and you will have a much better understanding of how this forum works.
Cheers and happy modelling, JT
BTW; Koolshade and L'eggs are a good start, lots of Tamiya, Revell, AMT, etc. kits too.

Sorry it's not information about the Tie as such, but from what I understand with the Tie Advanced is that they made the model kits for public sale first so that they could use the wings from it in the movie :) So buying one of those kits gives you screen accurate wings! :D

Just a little bit of trivia I picked up without questioning :)

James, actually one of the ANH kit made by MPC was the TIE Advanced, ILM used the wings from this kit to make the TIE Bomber wings (after modification) for TESB. :)

The L'eggs eggs was not used on the TIE Fighter...
