Gone but not forgotten.
I'm looking for ideas of stuff for Phil here at the shop to make. :)

Right now, we've got a new Gorn on the bench, a Rigel from "Farscape", I'd like to do a Bruce Willis circa "Armageddon" and "5th Element", and a good "Conan" bust.

Can you guys think of any other cool stuff? Things you'd be willing to part with your hard earned money for and help me and Phil dodge getting a "real" job for the next year or so? :D

Post 'em here.

the 1:1 busts are always cool...

other than Gollum, i havent seen too many LOTR busts...the Mouth of Sauron might be cool...and there are so many awesome Orcs to choose from

Conan would be really cool...

and of course anything Star Wars i'm a sucker for... :p

Nute Gunray or maybe Sebulba as possible Star Wars busts. How about a Hulk movie bust? Just tossing them out there.

The "Mouth of Sauron"'s been talked about, but we haven't been able to run down any decent pics on Google. Isn't there supposed to be something on him in the deluxe turbo version of the ROTK DVD extras? Can anyone do vidcaps?

Wondering about the Nute Gunray and Sebulba... Would there be enough interest to support the project?

Got me, Sarge, I am just tossing them out there. I haven't really seen a good Sebulba sculpt. All of the greeblies he has hanging off of his face seem like they would be a fun sculpt. Something to play with, ya know?

Sarge, the ROTK extended discs have a whole section on him.. I don't have screen cap capability but the shots are there.

I'd love to see a 1:1 bust of Dan Aykroyd in Ghostbusters the moment he sees Slimer, the cigarette hanging from his lip...classic.

I'm sure you'd probably also do well with a Nathan Fillian as Mal bust.

LotR

- A good Lurtz from Fellowship
- The twilight witchking from Fellowship
- Ugluk from Two Towers
- Mouth of Sauron from Return of the King
- Gorbag and/or Shagrat from Return of the King

Other

- A decent mangalore head from Fifth Element
- A Lycan from Underworld 1 or 2
- A decent Chewbacca from ESB or ROTJ
- A Jem H'Adar from Star Trek Deep Space Nine

(Sarge, FYI, they just released the limited edition DVD's for all 3 LotR films, each with both the theatrical cut AND the super-duper bootylicious mac-daddified extended versions, plus new BTS documentaries--last week they were about $17)

1:1 busts...
Sam Neill as Alan Grant from Jurassic Park
Kate Beckinsale as Selene from Underworld
Arnold Vosloo as Imhotep from The Mummy
Robert Patrick as the T1000 from Terminator2

Masks...
A Lycan from Underworld
The Balrog from LotR

Do you need more ideas? :D

Can't have too many ideas.

I'm liking the Jem Hadar, Godzilla, and Arnold Vosloo, but would everyone else?

Also, which Godzilla? There's so many cool variants.

id second the mummy one, but honestly id prefer a "juicy" sculpt where he wasnt 100% human. he had the eyes and tongue, but still had a few pieces of head missing.

i think a good "calling" would be 80s animation stuff too. like he man or transformers.

comic or cartoon style joe ones would be pretty cool. i know id be down for a snake eyes and storm shadow, and probably a destro and cobra commander if the price wasnt extragigantic.

have you given thought to the "not prop" area, like mythical creatures? spring heel jack or a grim reaper bust?

I'm tinkering with the notion of doing a Unicorn skull with a real horse skull and narwhal tusk casting, Also, I'd really like to do a good bigfoot bust based on the latest sightings and info. Just wondering how many people would buy them though. :confused

i dunno what level of skill you need for this, or if its possible, but you can also try various artists style renditions of comic charactors. jim lee's take on batman and superman, or even byrnes take on martian manhunter.

for someone with some talent (read as not me :lol) you can make some pretty cool stuff happen. hell, take doctor doom. hes been around for ages, and has had a ton of different artists draw him, all with different armor.

not sure that someone would pick up the unicorn skull, but if it was done in a pretty cool taxidermy way i can see the potential of sales for that.

a mignola styled screw on head would be pretty cool, or a hellboy.

there is literally a ton of stuff out there to do. it just depends on where you want to market them. i cant see a unicorn bust selling well here, but on ebay i could imagine it going along pretty good. same with a "darkness" skull.

i can see a market for a bust of the smallville charactors in 1/3rd scale, anythign in the whedonverse, any of the cult shows out there in the last few years.

id love for a bravestarr and tex hex bust set to be done as that was my favorite cartoon as a kid. it aint gonna happen though :lol

at least the myth ones wont be any sort of copyright problem ;)

Vosloo from the Mummy? Outstanding idea that.

Lycan...yeah...Lycan;)

What about...Toht the Gestapo guy from Raiders of the Lost Ark with his hand raised in a Nazi salute complete with Staff of Ra medallion burned into the palm?

Sean Connery - Bond in the scope shot pose?

Headless horseman from Sleepy Hollow with head tucked under arm and sword in the other?

Howz that?

Regards

I think these are really good suggestions:

Toht (Raiders Gestapo guy)
Sebulba
Bond (Connery scope shot pose)

And I'd like to add:

Beaten to a pulp Ivan Drago
Beaten to a pulp Rocky Balboa

Oh, and the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters wouldn't hurt either. Lifesize 1:1 of course. ;)

EMPEROR(Palpatine)..................................................

ROTJ

EMPEROR.......................................

All you need for this fullsize is a decent bust, which can't be found, (not to say some haven't been done) some waffle fabric and a cane. There has to be a bunch of people here who have a Vader and/or stormtrooper that would make the minimal effort to turn a good bust into a full size and complete that Empire display. Plus I believe Palpy eyes were just created by someone else. I am dying to see this done.

1/1 busts

Brandon Routh Superman (not just the head, but part of the costume sculpted in as well
Doc Ock from spiderman 2
Jan Michael Vincent as Stringfellow Hawke (to display my airwolf helmet on)
Sarah Connor from T-2
Sylvester Stallone as Rambo
Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber
Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft
Jay and Silent Bob
