What drawing programs do you use?

Hey just came across this post and thought to speak up.I use two programs that I got as Shareware back in the 90s. I finally updated one
of them to a full version. I use Draftchoice that was created by Trius Inc. and Neopaint by Neosoftware.com. Here are a few screen caps of some
of my work on them. I use Draftchoice to do the majority of the work and Neopaint for the final version. Draftchoice can save a screen cap as a PCX,
and Neopaint could open it and I usually convert them to Gifs. I wish to have more time to play with some of the new programs. I tried Gimp to help with
Text Wrappings for some of the Trek insignias I'm working on.

Photoshop and Illustrator. I only recently (within the last few years) discovered Illustrator's live trace feature. It's nice scanning in drawings at high resolution and editing them in Photoshop before I just send it to Illustrator to trace (for the less precise drawing, of course). For the more precise projects, I start right in Illustrator, where I can work to the ten thousandth of an inch. I make full use of my high school geometry in Illustrator.

Maya, Zbrush, and Photoshop. My strength is 3d modeling so I most often use Maya. I prefer to block stuff out in 3d rather than attempt to draw it in 2d.

Photoshop and Illustrator primarily. Mostly on my Surface Pro 2 with its WACOM digitiser, which is my primary drawing tool these days (I don't do anything else with it).

I use Draftsight for any CAD work I need to do.

I used to use Inkskape, but that was before I bought my Creative Cloud subscription and got 64 bit Illustrator.

I've used MS Paint several times to draw full-scaled, printable schematics for swords, knives, and pistols. I don't have the skill to build props more complicated than that, so Paint works fine for my level.

I use Illustrator, Freehand 10, and some Photoshop.
Yeah, I still use Freehand when Illustrator really gets frustrating. I keep an old computer around just to run it and probably will for a very long time!
:)

Oh yeah - and Cinema 4d.

Heh, I guess I'm not the only one who wants to beat the screen when working with Illustrator. I'm still using Freehand 9. :thumbsup

I just don't get why Illustrator is so unintuitive... it drives me nuts!

I am all for using freeware stuff currently.
Right now I'm use Sketchup, Inkscape, using Sketchup, Inkscape, and self learning with Blender. YouTube is an Awesome source for tutorials.
Oh and Gimp on occasion.

I use Sketchup and Inkscape for most of the work. I try to knock out as much of the layout and planning in Sketchup so that I don't have to "wing it" when it comes time to build. While I am trying to branch out into other design suites, I'm not sure I understand the hate for Sketchup. It doesn't seem to have any cons outside of handling circles as polygons, and even that can easily be accounted for. It may be dim of me, but i prefer the Sketchup interface and it's intuitive tools and manipulation methods.
