When I'm working from home doing the dreaded weekly reports it's usually Jazz such as Dave Brubeck, Thelonius Monk, Charlie Mingus or Wes Montgomery.
When I'm in the car it's my 80's hair metal compilation.
When I'm in any of my stores it's what I like to call 'Spuffy House' which is usually some rubbish 4 to the floor dance music. i block it out.
When I worked in retail many moons ago there was piped music playing throughout the store.
It wasn't bad music, just run of the mill radio stuff, but hour after hour after HOUR of it did my head in.
One day the system broke, what bliss :lol until the others started moaning and it was fixed :angry
I just can't listen to music, even music I like, for hour after hour.
I listen to my music streaming website. I have everything from CCR to 50 Cents online. So whatever my mood, I have something to listen too. Since I'm always connected to the web, where ever I go, I can listen anytime I want.
Until I lost my ipod just last week, dagnabbit, I was enjoying a splendid mix of music. Such tunes gracing my ears had been Alice In Chains, The Living End, Skid Row, Extreme, Pennywise, Van Halen, yada yada yada...
I rarely ever get to listen to anything at work being a restaurant manager, we don't spend a lot of time sitting in the office. But I do get a little time early in the morning working on invoices.
I've had an iphone/ipod for a year and a half now and it only has 6 albums on it- all of Liz Phairs records- so that's all I ever listen to at work. Why would you want to listen to anything else ?
