What did you do at work today, honey?

I need several of them for my Metal Gear fan film... Could I "borrow" them for few months for free?
:D

Just kidding... Impressive work!;)

This is for the same project as the fake russian RPG. Its basically a big empty box.

The turret is a huge piece of sculpted foam with more foam attached. The barrel is nothing more than a very large cardboard tube.

And it was all made from scraps (except for a purchase of some insulation foam sheets)

OK OK I guess I have to take back what I said earlier, that is the coolest thing I've seen here. You got me. Could we get some more pictures please? Thank you. Oh and one more thing, Is that fiberglass or vacuum formed? Very cool. Nice one up.

None of the above. Its a lot of chipboard, foam insulation sheet, 1x3's, and a bunch of stuff hot-glued on top.

We had basically zero dollars for a budget, but the owner Dave decided that we needed to supply this short film with something really impressive that would make people wonder how we did it.

It looks even better now that it's been hit with grime and "burned out" for the setting. Its supposed to be a wreck.

You can see that the base of it actually touches the ground. It should actually be elevated about 12 inches or so, but we made an error in the construction and so it'll be sitting amongst a bunch of debris in the war zone so you won't see the bottom of it.

That's what you get when you're trying to do this in a week. LOL!! :lol

Sweet! :cool:thumbsup
Would be cool to fit something like that onto a car..you know, to scare the locals.
what are you doing with it after your production ends?
seems like an odd item to store..

That is zarking AWESOME. I'd love to work on something like that. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Probably headed straight or the 10 yard dumpster. Its probably the most fragile tank in history, so storing it won't get us much. It'd be just as easy to rebuild one later. Maybe we'll keep the turret, since that was a pain in the butt.

Don't you have to make the end of the barrel orange to comply with safety reasons? Don't want anyone to think that was a REAL tank!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

Excellent job by the way! How you guys have so much room in your garages I will never understand!

What model is it?

I know it's a Soviet MBT, but damned if I can remember the models of which that used the double "V" debris deflectors on the glacis...

Judging by the 3rd right roadwheel, it has independent steering?... :lol
