"Barba-kinda" - My Take on the Barbican Lightsaber

I just purchased an 89sabers DV3 empty with plans to convert it into a reasonable approximation of a working Barbican style Vader lightsaber and I'm looking for custom parts to add to the design. I can do some 3D printing myself but I was hoping some of you guys might be able to help me find...

Nice! I almost bought the real gun for that several times and passed on it. I might have to just print one. I'm still gathering stuff for my resin printer. I've had it about a month and haven't tried it yet. I'm printing parts to top mount my AMS lite for my A1 so I have room for the other printer.

I might as well put Resin Printer on my workbench list. I have so much fun with my fdm (took 1.2 years to open the box) that I can't imagine not having it now.

For once I can actually post here! I just got this 89sabers DV3 today and I'm in the process of modifying it into a reasonable but not 100% replica of the Barbican. I missed out on the last run of custom Barbis on this site so this is the next best thing. Got a buddy on Etsy who's gonna work on some custom parts for me. For now the circuit card is a stand-in until I can get a more accurate one.

I assume you know the Ep3 Vader saber is a different scale from the Barbican? The Barbican is built on a roughly 1.5" tube, where the E3 Vader is closer to 1.375" and therefore smaller overall.

I've been getting this a lot since I posted about this build. Hence the title of "Barba-kinda." I have acknowledged many times that this will never be a 100% accurate build, just my take on it.

Finished up my Andor Rolykit. Thanks to Astyanax for the 3D printed piece. I ended up using 3 different paints to get the greeblie correct. Off white Krylon and then some grey acrylic paint in the thin lines & then masked & painted the vertical rectangles & half circle with Krylon grey. Finished it off with clear matte finish.

Although…

I think I’ve wasted my time weathering this thing.

Does anyone else believe that the light housings on the set were painted a light gray color vs. bare metal?
