@Vivek, the weregoinback site said that they wouldn't be able to confirm the availability of the courthouse square until September 21 or 23, I think. We're past that, but no update has been given. I signed up for the newsletter, and I haven't received even one yet. The website says that the descriptions of the daily events would be often updated, but I don't see that they have been—just the press release from a couple weeks ago that filled in some more events. Also, I see many good questions folks have on Facebook go unanswered. Lastly, there are several key spots for guests that are still marked as "?" We see MJF, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, etc. the MAJOR stars, attending BTTF-related events, and so know that they could be had for events such as this one, and these "?" spots are obviously hints that important guests could be attending. When will we know this for sure? We're less than a month away at this point. Surely it's time to share the final guest list, right?

Please don't misunderstand. I'm very excited to be attending, but I would really appreciate a ramp-up in the communication.

On a side note, it looks like Burger King that we were to visit has been closed as a of a couple weeks back due to a grease fire. If you go to that BK's site (on Yelp I think), there's a quote from a guy who called BK corporate and was told that the location will now be closed permanently. (What are the flippin odds? The thing is still open 29 years and 11 months after the movie period and then closes one month before October 2015?!) Is anyone from weregoingback checking/confirming this? Honestly, I think I'd still like it to be included in the tour. I want pics of me riding my Valterra skateboard out of the driveway, even if I don't get to order a Whopper inside...

Spyhunter2k, after the press release another update in regards to the daily event breakdown was sent out to the ticket holders. Did you get it? And if you haven't already, I suggest you join the FB Group through the link that was sent to the ticket holders, to remain more updated about the events.

Also just curious, did you buy the ticket for all 5 days or just for Oct 21? Yes, the status of courthouse has still not been announced and I don't know when it will get confirmed, but I am hoping it will be done in another week's time.

We are aware of Burger King's closure and we're looking into it, rest assured it will be still included in the location tour.

Confirmation of some of the big celebrities is very tricky. We have been trying to lock dates for months but some of them (their people) won't commit until the very month of the event or until couple of weeks before, as they likely have many other appearances planned that month. Some of them may pan out some won't, hence it is still not a final list just yet.

Vivek, thanks for the response. I am flying in from South America, and bought two tickets for the entire event, one for myself and one for my (very understanding) wife. I did receive an email but I remember thinking that it was essentially the same amount of detail as the press release. If I am mistaken and it had more detail, then I apologize. I'll look back at it. I don't have a Facebook account, but I can still read the updates on the page. I do see a few new details shared here and there, but I guess just not as much as I'd expected. For example, there were some posts about Doc's truck coming by the mall. Is this significant because this truck will be making an appearance during the event, or just a cool happening in BTTF news? If it will be at the event, is it the actual truck, a replica...?

Looking forward to the update about the courthouse. Fingers crossed. (Btw, I just realized that I need to bring one of the licensed Cafe 80s glasses and take a picture of myself enjoying a soda in front of where the Cafe 80s was, and then cross the square and take a picture of myself imbibing some whiskey (or if not allowed, a similarly-colored beverage) from the licensed Biff's Pleasure Palace tumbler...hmmm, making notes to self...)

Great news about the Burger King. We only saw the outside anyway in the film, so no need to forego swinging by it just because we can't go in. And hey, maybe the guy who said he called corporate is wrong, and it will actually re-open. Who knows... Also, if you're planning on having Walter Scott sit in the jeep and have photo ops available of us standing on our Valterras holding on to the tailgate, that could exceed acceptable limits of epicness, but I won't complain...

I didn't realize that the major stars were so hard to lock down until the last minute. Even if just ONE of the big ones (other than Claudia Wells, who I can't wait to meet) confirmed, it would send me into fits and waves of back-to-back nerdgasms such as would require 3 Pepsi Perfects to quell.

Can you tell I'm excited? :D

Glad to know you both are making the long trip for the whole experience. The WGB FB page is not the same as the WGB FB Group. The WGB Group is meant only for the attendees. It's ideal especially to get to know all the fans who are also attending the event from all across the globe and to get any further updates about the event directly from event producer Ken Kapalowski, which won't be discussed on the public FB page. I recommend creating a temp FB account and joining it through the link sent in the email around the first week of September.

The truck is a replica and it will be there at the mall till the WGB week. It was arranged by WGB event producer Joe Walser.

I doubt it, but the one above Einstein (the left one) seems like it could be, even though its current placement is a little off.
