Ok, People told me for years, to use Krylong Simi-flat black for any number of prop projects, and after literally years of searching, I finally found it locally at a Wal*mart. (it was on like the bottom shelf, bind other stuff, and in with another brand, every time I went there. :( ) Well, I went back yesterday, and they had all new krylon cans, and not one can of simi-flat black, and the woman there told me that they didn't carry it. :(

So, now were do it get it in the Columbus Ohio area?

Supposedly krylon has re-done their formulas.

There was a big thread on Krylon about a week ago look it up as it was a good one.

What is the difference between Krylon Semi-Flat Black and Krylon Satin Black?

Well, the finish is similar, but that satin is kind of jet black, or a dark black, where the simi-flat black has a nice lighter black/very, very dark Gray look, that is very good for props that you want to look like blackened metal. (like guns, blaster, and stuff like that.) I love the stuff, it goes on smooth, it's very forgiving, and it looks great.

As far as why don't I just order online. 1, I don't have a credit card, to order with, and most place want one. And, 2 You have to pay shipping on line, and I go through a good deal of paint, so that would add up fast, and I hate to pay for paint in the first place, so I don't want to pay extra charges. Oh, and 3 in Ohio, when I get one of the like 3 days a year when the weather is nice enough to paint, I need the pant NOW, and not when the they feel like shipping ,and when the post office feels like getting it to me. :(

Look out when you order Semi-Flat online. Krylon changed the paint, changed the name, changed the can and kept the 1613 number. The new 1613 (Satin Black) is nothing like the old Semi-Flat.

Nothing looks as good as Semi-Flat. RIP :(
