I thought i read about a push to make all sites HTTPS, as in world wide, not just Art's Empire...ooh i like that...copyright, me 2018. Art's Empire© :)

What exactly is 'required' on the Personal Information page? I tried to remove an old site from mine and it said i had to fill out all the required info. I never filled in much and I can't fill in all of it...so what is 'required'? There is nothing to indicate what is/isn't required and the error doesn't tell me what fields i haven't filled in.

I believe the only thing that is actually required is your first name. This is something we implemented about 10 years ago for new registrants. Obviously, if your membership goes further back than that, this wouldn't have been a requirement when you registered. However, because it is required, if you change anything in your profile and try to save it, it is going to ask you to fill that out. Please note that giving your first name is for staff use only, is not publicly visible and based on our privacy policy is not something we share. It is for administrative purposes only.

That seems a little convoluted just to see the post coounts but thanks for letting me know.

If we were to place anything back in the user's box to the left of each post, it would be trophy points, not registration date or posts.

I've just found out that the word "W i l l y" was censored and replaced by a * in my Wonka sales thread in the project runs. Why? I'm not a native English speaker. Does "W i l l y" mean something bad in English? The strange thing is: The censorship doesn't make any sense, since you can still see the name in the title of the thread and in the URL.

Good catch. We implemented a standardized "bad word" list and indeed "willy" was in it (now removed.) Not to be too childish, but we had to remove another word so we could all praise Steve Wang's hard work without being censored...

A couple comments, questions:

When using the search function, thread results with new posts aren't specially labelled. I always found this useful for following certain threads.
Has the seller/buyer feedback been completely removed?

Thanks,
Magnoli

Point of information for everyone:

To mention someone (which gives them an alert that their name was mentioned), simply type in the @ symbol immediately followed by their username. It will wind up looking like this: Art Andrews

As you type the name, a list of member usernames appears based on what you type, slowly narrowing down the list as you type more. You can either type out the full name, or click/tap on the desired name to autocomplete for you.

This methodology is much nicer than what was in the old forum. Thanks guys.

The seller feedback isn't currently here. We are negotiating its reinstatement as we speak.

I didn't see any response, was there any update or further mention of the hours-long delay in email notification for things like messages or quotes? I couldn't find any kind of user setting to adjust how frequently that sends out. Or it could just be a server time vs my time zone issue.

With the new software implementation, I am sure the server is overloaded with email notices right now. There are no settings for this. Let me know if you continue to get notices hours afterwards. I am currently receiving notices almost instantly.

Does that mean members browsing our stuff could just pay for it right then and there through the link?

That would be mega dope.

That is exact what it means. That may mean sellers have to make some slight changes to the way they sell, but we hope it means your sales will be even more successful as people an act on the impulse to buy your product.
