I would never claim we could guarantee it, but I can say that we have had ads running for almost 10 years now and ads are ALWAYS on for me... and I have never gotten a malware hit. Best I can do.
The triangle in the corner is an ONLINE NOW indicator. It has nothing to do with animated avatars.

Just reading this one the photos took a 10 count to load once clicked on.. But they at least loaded in the middle not high up

I see what you are saying. Those DO take longer than expected to load. Adding this issue to our punch list. It is low priority since it does work, but we will see if the speed issue can be addressed.

Not sure if this has been answered already, but my Imgur photos aren't showing up in my thread. Do I need to reload them, or just wait?
Also, just wanted to say that while I'm not a huge fan of the upgrade, loading pictures from my computer and not from Imgur is MUCH nicer now! Always hated how they'd load up small like a thumbnail, that's why I was using a third party site in the first place.

The way your images were linked from IMGUR is a nightmare (not your fault... a holdover from IMGUR). We are HOPING to correct those soon. You are welcome to do it yourself, but that is a LOT of work with your threads. Your call.

I may do it myself. I like the way they load directly into the site now, and do not like relying on a third party site. When Photobucket went to crap, I lost most of all of my picture links, so I don't wanna ever go through that again!

The likes counter is still not updated, correct?
I use the notifications to alert me via email when I get a reply or a private message to help cut down on delay of response. I used to use Tapatalk for that, but now I have set my RPF account settings to do it. But I have noticed that I will get the email several hours later.
For example, someone messaged me about an item for sale in my project runs thread. He and I had several back and forth replies, he sent payment, I packaged and shipped the item. and then several hours later today I got an email saying I got a message
Is there some kind of setting to increase the frequency of when notifications are sent?

Which is good, except only a fraction of likes got ported over....

Even when I turn off adblocker, I still get alerts telling me to turn it off, and I am seeing the ads, it's not like they are being blocked. It's driving me nuts. I have refreshed and I have restarted the browser.
Not that I've noticed it stated anywhere, but I'm guessing sub-forums have been veto'd? I tried accessing Knights of Ren and it seems to have gone. Is this an intentional change?
Really appreciate the hard work you and the team have done on the refresh, Art. I'm really happy with it being brought forward into modern standards, even with the trade offs you've mentioned (and agree with the reasoning for them).

bloody hell those ads. I ve turned off adblocker to see how it is. I too still get the prompts that I should turn it off and get forced into page reloads without being able to see the content. Had to use Safari and chrome and bloody hell is this site now full of malicious ads (in placement and design and behaviour) can't even finish a forum search without rising blood pressure in minutes as they re so ******* in my face all the bloody time. Big alienation potential there, Art Andrews. I feel like I m having a gun to my head now to upgrade to Premium alas the option just says "Subscribe" without even telling me what I ll get. Will the ads vanish? Just like the pop up prompts for the adblocker are supposed to vanish when disabeling Adblock ? I need information, I need it fast. I m not opposed to pay money for it but by gawd I hate being made to feel like I ve got no other choice but to cough up. Cause theRPF with ads enabled is a complete ********** and nearly impossible to navigate now.

Holy cow,I kept hitting my refresh button on my iPad for that past 4 days and the website still kept taking me to the old upgrade notice. Then I decide to just kill the tab and open a new one to open the link. You guys have been back since Wednesday. I was going nuts waiting. So happy it’s all back and up& running. Haven’t even checke it out yet. Just had to stop and say this here first. Thanks for the work put into this. I can now sleep without RPF withdrawals !
