This listing is for an original WWI-era Webley flare gun. These were issued to British officers to coordinate battle maneuvers in the trenches of the Great War. T.E. Lawrence used a Webley during the Arab revolt, and so the same model can be seen prominently in the film Lawrence of Arabia. This type of pistol was also used by Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road, when she fired a flare into the face of an attacking motorcycle bandit.
Webley made these for several decades, but this was made in 1917, making it an original WWI artifact. Overall, the item is in good shape, considering that it's over 100 years old. There are some tarnishes in spots, and some scratches and minor dents. And the hammer doesn't stay locked, although it might just need an adjustment. The leather holster is included.
