Web fluid subsitute?

I have a post in the JY asking for web fluid but after reading up on it, it looks like most fluids are made from rubber cement. Are there additives I should use or thin it with the solvent? Any one have knowledge on this stuff? Thanks for looking. :)

I've never heard of anyone thinning it down. There is a solvent available for clean up but I doubt you'd get a decent web effect if you tried to thin the cobweb mix.

I've seen webs from a can, too. A little cleaner than the drill application method. Still messy and stains clothes or anything else it comes in contact with.

I've used contact cement thinned with Coleman stove fuel (white gas). I don't remember the dilution ratio. The result is a very strong webbing. I should also mention that while rubber cement does make great webs, they are extremely flammable. They also dry up and crumble in a few days. Also, no matter what you use for webs, you can accent them using talcum powder-- remember, one reason you can see real webs is they have collected some dust.

there is this spray glue used for duct construction called Mean Green.
It spraws in a web like pattern, not the line pattern though. You have to use paint thinner to clean it off.
any a/c supply houses should have it.
its used to glue insulation to duct work
