Warm Bodies : Zombie Love Story

Have to admit, having just seen the trailer I'm now interested. I've read zombie fiction where zombies fell in love (admittedly, I read a lot of zombie fiction, most of it bad), but never seen a story tackle this angle. I'm going to pick up the book and check it out. If I enjoy it, I might rent this.

Cant' see going to the theater for it, but that's more due to the fact that my wife hates anything she deems "Scary" and I don't like going alone...

zombies 'curing' themselves seems a bit far-fetched.... but I'll probably watch it anyway, for the laffs

Thanks for posting that link, Amish! It looks like it could be exceptionally good but if not done right it could go bad very quickly It's definetly charting new territory.

Zombie comedy has done before... Shawn of the Dead is really a Bromance between British Slackers. Zombieland is a pretty good zombie road movie but kind of abandons its theme for the middle of the movie.

My favorite Zomedy is _FIDO_. Something about seeing Trinity from Matrix as a sexually repressed June Cleaver style mother gives my leg a tingle... I dunno. _FIDO_ is a dystopian comedy about the ZOMCOM reality I guess. I really didn't think I'd like it but there are so many subtle irreverent kinks in THIS 50's reality - "TAMMY" - it can't help but be morbidly hilarious.

The WARM BODIES trailer has a couple moments that leave me very hopeful. I love that bit where the protagonist admires the Rolex on the arm he's about to sink his teeth into. I can't recall ANY Zombie movie told from the zombie's point of view. Parts of _FIDO_ maybe, and "Bub" in the original _DAY OF THE DEAD_ for a while.

I don't think it will be easy, but WARM BODIES might be really good .

Re: "Warm Bodies" - Why?

Warm Bodies Official Trailer #1 (2013) - Zombie Movie HD - YouTube

Yes, a movie many are calling Twilight with zombies but with comedic overtones and less emo and..... John Malkovic.

I have friend ready to picket opening night with a group dressed as Umbrella Corps soldiers with a few Silent Hill nurses.

I'm going to assume the next trend will be with werewolves. And I watch too much YouTube.

I haven't seen the trailer yet and can't right now since I am at work and the government says no to youtube :(, but judging from your post I get the gist.

The Twilight with zombies reminds me of that novel that Nick wrote on the show "New Girl". Hilarious.

Unlike with Twilight, this looks like it was intended to be a comedy. I dunno, looks cute. I'll go see it.

Re: "Warm Bodies" - Why?

It looks to be somewhat funny, where as Twilight was only funny in the saddest sense. :lol

Honestly, I'd rather see this than seeing World War Z (aka Zombie Tidelwave).

Re: "Warm Bodies" - Why?

Unlike my friend, I'm reserving judgement until I see more previews for it. I'm hoping that it might be more like the take Shaun Of The Dead did on zombies.

Re: "Warm Bodies" - Why?

I think it will be along the same vein as Shawn of the Dead...at least I hope so by the looks of it.

Re: "Warm Bodies" - Why?

Actually looking forward to it. I loved Nicholas Hoult in Xmen First Class so this should be pretty entertaining. IF it tried taking a serious approach to this idea then that would be a joke.

"I'm hoping that it might be more like the take Shaun Of The Dead did on zombies."
