Warhammer 40k Spacewolf MK12 Runic Armour

So I've been working on the front of the torso. I've got the rim for the torso plate in, and worked on the hood and seals. It needs some clean up to make it cleaner but otherwise here it is

I'm going to post some more as soon as I get it done

Did a height test today and I stand in at 7ft 8 currently. But by the time I put the rigging system in place that may go up to the magic 8ft. Will have to see but for now 'ere tis!

given the height and leg length then probably gonna have to do fake arms to keep it in proportion unless I do the wolf claw as a fake hand and then hold one of the assault cannons in the other hand. That way I can at least have a normal hand, just means someone will have to hold the cannon for me while I use that hand. But that could be funny, a gun scaled to the armour being held by a mere mortal

Thankyou sir, I am toying with the idea of the helmet. Not sure if I want one or to go without but thankfully I am blessed with a large head so I could do either tbh. But I do like the idea of having the helmet for the voice changer. I would like to turn up at a con and find some of these iron men. I could see quite a funny picture in the making.

As for what MK it is I'm not sure about the terminator armour but the SM armour I started originally is definitely MK XII. Says so in the new codex but I've been absent from the warhammer world for 15 years roughly now, a lot has changed when I went back to games workshop.

I am an idiot, I skipped over the part where you specify runic, I assumed Aquila armor. I'm a vanilla marine player myself. Also, awesome progress!

lmao, doorways are going to be an issue. I'm probably gonna be stuck outdoors unless I suit up inside the con. However doors are a small price to pay when i'm going to look awesome
Also doors aren't at all my main concern, bathroom breaks are the biggest issue

thanks dude, my progress has slowed slightly at the mo because my first baby has arrived
I hope to crack on this week with the build but as many of you may know babies take up a lot of time lol

Managed to get some more work done today while my Son was asleep
I did some research into runic alphabets and filled in some gaps and came up with this:

The runes read "Here I am, and here I shall Die" - taken from one of many great space wolf quotes I found



I'm going to adorn the torso with this along with some art work. I also found after speaking to a mate that the torso went back to far so I've taken a few inches off the back, lucky really as I hadn't yet added in the vents

so I decided to attach the runes before I loose them lol



next is sort out the back part, i'm going to insert some vents which will later on function as air in and out with the help of some fans. Then I can decorate the torso and crack on with the rest of the build
