Warhammer 40k Iron Warrior chaos space marine

That is amazing work! The metal paint looks really convincing.

From Iron comes strength, brother!

Thanks for the kind words! I think the metal will look even more convincing once I get some rust on it and weather the gold a bit. And of course the yellow stripes will bring the whole thing together once I get some yellow paint!

Very nice! Loving the look of that paint job! Can't wait to see the yellow stripes. Only one coat of PVA? How's the durability? Anxious to see more!

Durability is okay, but it could be better. The dense black foam I used it pretty solid, but the softer gray foam is still a bit soft even with the PVA. Overall I don't think it'll break, but I'm still trying to be careful with it. The yellow stripes are going on right now! :) Shoulder is done and leg is currently drying. Will have more pics tomorrow probably.

Here are the pictures as promised! I think it's starting to look pretty good. :)

Awesome! Been reading your thread, and a few others, today in my office cubicle. It looks like you've nailed it and should have it ready for the convention. I know how stressful those hard deadlines can be.

I've started on my own. Been working on the diaper for a week now in the late nights away from work. Hoping to have my Black Templars Emperor's Champion finished by next Summer in time for Dallas Comic Con. Or I could shoot for Fan Days in February if I decide to get a bit ambitious...

Thanks for the compliment! I wish you good luck. :) A project like this is definitely a bit daunting at times, but the end results are worth it.

Here are some outdoor pictures as well as a video showing how it moves when I walk! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. :)

Wow! Smooth action! Very nicely done - loving the paint job! Really wish I could see this one in person! Bravo!

Thank you very much! I'll be sure someone records me when I'm walking around at a con so you can get the essential experience of being in my presence. lol
Can't wait to see your armor all painted up! I'm pretty sure you've created THE best SC2 terran marine armor. Honestly, if you find a better one, let me know, cause I've never seen anything like it. haha!

There's still no cooling inside my armor, so that's something I need to take care of. I actually already started planning my next armor! So look forward to that.

Finally! Here is the video from the cosplay competition. I didn't win anything, but I had TONS of fun and I found lots of new friends. More pictures coming soon. :)

Now here are some candid back-stage photos from the cosplay competition! It took 6 people to get me up the ramp to the stage... This suit is NOT made for walking up slight inclines.
