Hi all! This will be my first full armor costume, I have done a few anime costumes using the same method. But a full armor is a first that I will be doing, I'm rushing this on a basis of 3 hours a day and I need to finish it by the 3rd of July. So wish me luck!

Costume is fully made of plastic boards and fomastic foam, not a good selection of materials but this is what I'm used to. This picture doesn't do justice, I will take more pictures while I'm in the process.

For those who think I wouldn't finish the costume, you're wrong! Here it is!

I'm planning on adding on eletronics and motorize turrets, so wish me luck everyone.

Re: War Machine (A different Approach)

Actually I'm trying to do my WM and I'm out of foam and plastic myself (I'm done armor for anime costumes originally as well). I was wondering how you made your patterns, and if you based them off of the pepakura patterns at all. But good start so far!!

Guyvierion - Everything I did was freehand and based on the hasbro figurine I had :lol

Just to share, a picture of my old costume.

Your WM is going to look great!

I still have to make some changes to mine like building up the legs, better gatling gun, and shortening the torso a bit. Its easy when all you have to do is cut out pieces of plastic and mount to foam or vice versa.

Another pic.

LongClaw: Did you also do yours free hand or use a pattern as a template?

Mostly free-hand, especially on the legs, shoulders and arms. I used a ruler for the chest and cut out peices of paper, taped them to trashcans, cut out with cutting snips from Home Depot. A pack of 3 of them only costs $10.99. My elbow/forearm is still sore from all of the cutting. I wanted to back all of the plastic trashcan pieces with foam to help with the 3d appearance/depth and they helped in the gluing process also. Much more bite to the plastic.

The robot with the guitar is from an anime called FLCU or Foolie Cooly and is an acid trip to watch. Very cool suits everyone.

Looking good. I myself is almost finished after six months of work. Just need to finish off the Minigun and Boot covers and then on to the under suit modifications n strapping. Keep up the good work!

damn, you were right! the first pic really didn't do it any justice. this actually turned out really well.
