War machine 1st attempt

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

Cool..i didn't know that..thanks..

The first set of fingers i did i used resin without cloth and the fingers broke when sanding, in the second set i used resin then rondo from inside, that time i didnt run in to problems

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

I'm getting really frustrated with this... Im done fiberglassing almost everything that i pepped...i still not sure how I'm going to do the lower torso......:confused

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

Hi there !!
Your job is just awesome !!
I'm actually doing my own war machine suit, but I also have a lot of problemes with the scale.
I printed torso with 1.7 scale and it's nice, but when I tried the abdomen with the same scale... well I just can't dress it. My wides are too wide... I'm 1.90m tall for 82kg, and I don't think that I'm too big to be a war machine !! :)
Did you met the same probleme when you built yours ? What is your scale for torso ?

PS: excuse my bad english, I'm from France :)

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

Hey man!!
!st i want to say you've done a crazy job so far, and I cant wait to see the finished product! you probably started after me and you are way ahead of where i am, stick with it! I also jumped into a War Machine build as my first and (with a 1 year old running around stealing parts from me) i do not think i will finish before Halloween. Especially all the additional grand ideas i plan on installing in the armor....KEEP IT UP!

I think for your size the torso will be ok..sorry for the late response..the best thing to do its use the measurement from point to point..forgot what's the name..lol.i did mine at 1.69..i think it might be slightly big buti will make it work i guess...if you scroll back to my thread you'll find my scaling that i used for each part..if i had to do a over i would change some stuff..lol..your English is fine....

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

I am absolutely blown away by your speed and great work! Trying very hard to understand why I am not getting updates even though I am subscribed and should be geting instant updates! I have missed so much! I need to run through the thread and see if you put the scale you used for the gloves up on here! Probably other questions as well!

Lol.....i feel that I'm working very slow....but i used the 1.00 scale on all the hand..upper..lower..n finger s..

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

OMG! If you feel slow I must be building at a snails pace! Makes me feel like I am standing still I am just too darn fussy, but cant help it! However, each piece done, means the next will go faster from what I learned.

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

I cut my neck seal and put guide rods in to hold it together, a little velcro will secure it. But honestly it completely locks inside the helmet!:thumbsup Sort of wish I had cut it without the sharp coners near my carotid and jugulars!:cry Oh, well, I will redo later!:unsure

I havent put my padding in yet, and this needs a matte clear coat as the flat black shows every scratch or tough touch!:wacko

You can see the guide rods peeking out from under the fiberglass re-inforcement.
I like the idea of being able to articulate it as it is rigid as heck and has low turn radius... however that said Stealth is right, it is minimally visible on the War Machine due to the way the torso is designed.

Those shoulder rocket mounts, the gatling gun and how the neck seal goes inside the suit ,makes fussing with it too much a waste of effort....at least until the suit is done and you start redoing parts for perfection and super details! ;)

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

Looks purty.lol....i still think you can see the front of it though.not much the sides and back but the front yes...

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

I agree,,,99% of focus on the neck should be the front and front 1/3 of the neck seal! I cant wait to see your armor finished! You are light years ahead of me so should be done way before me!
