Walking Dead Sheriff Uniform

Hey guy's

I got this yesterday , a Dan Wesson co2 45mm bb's air gun , a beautiful replica of a .357 magnum ... it's not 100% accurate like Rick's one but a cool one to have in my showcase :D

Is it an all-metal one with the correctly colored wooden grip? If so, consider me very interested!

Hey guys,

Me and my buddy were looking to costume it up as Shane and Rick, back in the good ol' days when they were buds.

Thanks to your avid discussion and great source material, I've been able to piece together the basic gear we would need - I guess for starters, the most important being the shirts and trousers - or pants.

Managed to find some patches and lapel insignias on eBay - due to the growing market for this kind of costume, no doubt - but I'd be real interested in finding some good quality badges.

Also if anybody can tell me what kind of gear we'd be wanting for our belts that would be great. Does anybody know where we could pick up a couple of the walkies, potentially on the cheap? As poor students, there's only so much we can spend.

I've never seen one either... wishful dreaming on my part. It's hard to even find pistols anymore like the one I use. It's all plastic, but the body is silver and the handle is wood colored, so it looks good enough.

Does anyone know where I can find the brown pants with the pinktan stripe? I'm trying to tie everything together for D*con and I just can't seem to find em.

Somewhere in this thread I'm pretty sure someone linked to the shirt and pants at Quartermaster.com. You will need to call up QM and speak to a rep since that pant/stripe combo isn't listed on their site directly, but it is an easy config option with a human over the phone :).

Hi guys I managed to complete my Shane Walsh, with help from here and wanted to share some pics from the weekend at London Film and Comic-con.

I made my hat at a printers by printing on to a polo shirt, cutting out the shield and gluing it on. All our badges our Costumebase ones that we bent the points in a vice to resemble them more. I also sprayed mine gold which turned out well.

There's also a video we are in here :love

Hey all - thought that this might be of interest. In the book ‘The Walking Dead Chronicles’, on page 95 (apropos of nothing) is a picture of what appears to be the original (handwritten) costume breakdown for Rick Grimes in the pilot episode.
For those not so interested in buying the book for a single page, (if I read correctly) it reads as follows:
RICK SHERIFF UNIFORM Sc 1;2;3
*8) BULLET PROOF VEST – Description opp. Page
*9) UNIFORM JCT: 47-105 HORACE Small NG – Sheriff Dept. Dark Brn w/ side zips + Sheriff’s Dept. badge on sleeves
1) UNDERSHIRT – Calvin Klein – Teched White: Sh/sl; crew neck M/M
2) UNIFORM SHIRT: LAW PRO Med 15 – 15 ½ - Beige w/ drk brn epaulettes: sh/sl CABF
> Sheriff’s Dept badges sewn on sleeves (upper)
3) UNIFORM PANTS: FLYING CROSS (32 reg) – Drk brown w/ beige ‘tux’/side stripe (vertical)
4) BELT: 0100701/010 (34/35) – Black leather (right hand threading)
5) SHOES: JUSTIN Style 2222 ‘Cowboy’ boots – Brown – 10 ½
6) HAT: STETSON (7 ¼) 4” brim 22 Chocolate – Drk brn w/ gold double rope & acorns (shiney) hole pre-made to attach ‘sheriff star badge’
<ACORN-GOLD – gold hat campaign cord with acorns 469028429017 <UPC code>>
7) SOCKS: Tall white - boot

Sparky, that is fantastic information, thank you!!

This fills in a few holes that I was wondering about. One of the things I've been thinking about making more accurate on my own costume are the boots - and now we have a maker & style. Unfortunately, it seems as though that style is no longer made by Justin and I can't seem to find any other sources online. Anyone know of a resource to at least get pictures of the boots so I can find something close?

glad that it could be of use.

i once fancied hopes of doing this costume for Dragon*Con, but i have too many other costumes in the works to make that happen. with hope, i'll still be able to pull together a 'walker' for D*Con, at least... :unsure

Here is my outfit from Outbreak Omega late last month. I am carrying a Glock 17 and not a revolver.

Special thanks to Skruffy for all of the help. I didn't win the costume contest, a guy in a ghillie suit did. :rolleyes Honestly, I don't think the staff that runs the event watches the Walking Dead. The other funny thing is that everyone, and I mean everyone (except 1 older gentleman) thought I was a real Deputy. I got tired of telling everyone that I was in "costume". Even the lady at the concession stand wanted to give me my lunch for free because her Cousin is a Deputy Sheriff. I explained the whole thing to her and she thanked me for my honesty.
