In the comic Carl loses his eye by Getting a hold of a belt fed (IIRC) Machine gun and hoses the crap out of a bunch of the saviors and Negan shoots him. I'd love to see Carl do something similar here.

Nope.
In the comics, he gets hit by a stray bullet well before the Saviors appear. Negan is simply fascinated by the hole in his skull and makes him show it off. He pulls Abraham's rifle in the back of a truck and does shoot a few Saviors, but they don't hurt him.

Dr Dre and New Mommy had guns when they left so it would have obviously been more missing from the inventory. I did see New mommy had a "W" pistol which is a cheap way out as everything else was catalogued. But they still had more weapons when they left. I still cant get over how terrible this episode was. It made Fear the Walking Dead look enjoyable.

Re watching the well episode I notice a lot of the kingdoms weapons look to be cold steel brand . the spears could or could not although look like it it is a generic look.
But the dude that rides up helping to save carol looks like the cold steel saber .
Probly found the factory n looted it .
They are supposed to be made to last . lol
I know there making there own weapons too but the polymer handle kind o gave it away lol.

It's official, I'm really only hate watching this show now. Carl had a loaded gun pointed at Neegan for longer than it takes me to eat breakfast ffs. Also, NOBODY IN NEEGAN'S CAMP LIKES HIM. HOW IS HE THEIR LEADER!?!?! It can't all be fear and intimidation. The inner circle needs to LIKE him. All he does is antagonize them. No way he isn't dead.

i agree, so many perfect times to pop Negan. is it me or does Negan not come off scary anymore? i was only really afraid of him the first episode. now he comes off just obnoxious... and annoying

I think this episode just convenced me of the flat earth theory that rap dude was jibbering about and that stars are really burning gerbals who's Cry's are heard on earth as the wind in the trees.
Makes about as much sense as Negan being alive at the end of this episode !

Two redeeming things to last night's ep: the direct connection between Saviors and taxation, and the obese chick complaining about starvation (but then ruined a humorous moment by crying when she was mocked?! THE @#$%ING WORLD HAS ENDED! HOW ARE YOU NOT TOUGHER!?!?! It's the apocalypse and she is still sensitive about her weight? Of course, Rosita still has three inch long salon nails, so I suppose vanity endures.)

This show is getting stupid. What was once a character driven show has now totally lost its way. No character makes sound choices anymore, motivations are a mess, and the acting is starting to fall apart.
Negan is really starting to look like a 1 trick pony. I love JDM and I know he's an extremely capable actor, so I have to imagine that it is the writing that is making him so 1 dimensional.
This is about where I left off in the comics. Maybe the comics and the show will have that in common. We'll see what next week brings, I guess.

I enjoyed it. I liked how they finally started bouncing from one group to another instead of devoting a whole episode. Rick's going to go ballistic when he finds out Negan has Judith on his lap.
Negan has certainly taken a liking to Carl though. Carl seemed more than interested in Negan's power several times last night, like after everyone bowed in the boiler room.

The scene between Carl and Negan where Carl takes off his eye patch is still one of my favorites from the comic. I thought that stuff was handled pretty well.
But I knew in the show it would play as very odd if Carl popped out of the truck and opened fire, and then nothing was done to him. And yeah, it did. But that is directly out of the comics too.
Negan's story is pretty close to the page so far, so I'd suggest viewers who have not read the comics buckle up, because you will have more frustration before satisfaction where Negan is concerned.
I like Negan. The comic version cracked me up. I thought he was hilarious. The TV version makes me laugh too, but less. The TV Negan reminds me a whole lot of one of my old bosses. A guy I worked for when I was 19. He was just about the most obnoxious person I'd ever met up to then, and he's still in the top 10. But he was also funny, and was always busting people's chops.

Pretty much impossible unless you have more than just a simple machine shop and even then you'd only be able to do it by cutting up the .50 shell casing and making brand new casings from the cuttings. It's one thing to reload spent casings or converting a similarly sized caliber casing to another but it's something totally different to make your own casings from scratch or converting one that's much larger to something much smaller, or rimmed to rimless.
