Waffen SS Uniforms. Where to get?

Got talked into going to a reenactment in Ga and they told me they would like a few Germans. As I was going to buy a costume anyway, though I would get one. Any links would be helpful! Google came up with a few but I figure you all would know who to buy from and who not to!

Since you wanna re-enact, you'll have to go fairly accurate... I know a few of those guys and they expect a certain level of accuracy. So go here:

If you don't wanna spend a whole lot, can live with it not being accurate, go here:

I used the latter for background uniforms in my student film. Some of the stuff for the officers is pretty accurate, though (the Em, not so much).

This is all I've got on this Mac, but here's one of the uniforms I bought from surcompany.com. As I said in an earlier post, some of the stuff is really nice for a great price. I was pretty happy with the Allgemeine SS uniform seen in the cap (even more happy with the actor acting in German ;))--but you won't want one of them for re-enactment. And yes, I do know that these weren't used in combat. But since I was inspired by Indy as a kid (when I actually came up with the idea), I decided to style it after Vogel from The Last Crusade.

And please excuse the crummy screencap [from a letterboxed source, no less]. :) It looks a bit better in motion. :angel (And it's going on six years old...)

Thanks for all the help guys! Next up, where to get a decent airsoft mp44???

Shoei makes the best MP/Stg44....long out of production and tough to find, though. They do pop up on ebay from time to time and usually sell in the $1200 -$1500 price range. I finally got one up here after years of searching...I'll never sell it...it's a fantastic piece. Field strips like the real thing, love it!

Apart from that, I've seen a few resin repro Stg44s on ebay...they look OK. You'd probably have better luck finding a nice MP40. AEM makes an inexpensive all metal version that you can find on ebay for $100 or so. I have a Marushin version. There's also the MGC version that is tough to find but very nice.

I know you've probably made your decision on which retailer to purchase your uniform from, but like many others in this thread have stated, I too would recommend At the Front. I just ordered my M42 jump suit and couldn't be happier. The quality and materials are outstanding. (of course there ARE cheaper alternatives)

Concerning the MP44, here's the only thing I came up with - which you've probably seen - but it seems like a decently priced static piece or for your impression. (it appears to be non-firing)

Both the Shoei and Ultima models (which were quite expensive), seem to have sold out long ago...

The best place to find replica uniforms is atthefront.com
Also for insignia changes epicmilitaria.com is great. They are in the UK, but there shipping cost aren't bad.
If ever interested in Russian Militaria if you wanna pretend to be a russian sniper defending stalingrad or maybe you've seen Enemy at the Gates too many times, tridentmilitaria.com is great and so it frontofrussia.com is impressive in prices. Hope that helps
