Villains Cast in new Batman Movie: "The Dark Knight Rises"

I thought they said he wasnt going to be a villain in this film but it sounds like theyre loading up movie with bad guys. That poster says a lot...

That is not the official Facebook page nor is that poster image official. And that fan art was uploaded there back in December 2010.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was sent the link and I was pretty sure Nolan had said that Riddler wasnt in the film. Are any of the images there (besides the Bane one) real?

Besides the Bane one, only some of the location shoot pics might be real. Rest are all fan art with studio logos added on. All cast photos are from their prior films, some even photoshopped.

i just hope and pray that the ending to this trilogy is not the obvious Bane breaking batmans back that would majorly suck would not be impressed. Interested to see what way he goes with catwoman as well.

Apparently they are filming in exteriors in Glasgow and Some location stuff at Inverness airport

probably the same as with the bane pic. there is some sort of clue in this, but im really not bored enough to open up my sound software to try to filter stuff out of this.

the sound file is named rises.wav, maybe thats a hint to sth

It was a viral gimmick where you could take that sound clip into a program like Adobe Soundbooth and see in the spectral display a hash tag for twitter. Here's a pic:

Yeah I tried messing with my sound editing program and put on the EQ to try and eliminate tones on it to see if there was a message, but not getting anything yet. Hmmm...

I kinda hear "FISH FISH PLATTER! PLATTER!" But I doubt that's it, hahahaha!

Great! Now all I hear is "FISH FISH PLATTER! PLATTER!" Darn it!

WOW! That is very cool! Here I was messing with pitch and timing in soundbooth and then BAM on the spectral display there it was.

Good find!

Liam Neeson is Resurrected For 'The Dark Knight Rises'
By Bryan Enk | June 15, 2011 |

The Lazarus Pit works!

The villain of "Batman Begins," who was supposedly killed in the film's climactic train crash, has returned from the grave to once again do battle with the Caped Crusader as Liam Neeson has joined the cast of "The Dark Knight Rises," according to Variety.

Neeson played Ra's al Ghul, the notorious leader of the League of Shadows, in director Christopher Nolan's first Bat-film. Giving him such a fiery death had many fans speculating whether such spectacular imagery was foreshadowing the eventual appearance of the Lazarus Pit, the churning chemical pool that Ra's uses to restore his powers and stay forever young in the DC Comics series.

The casting of Josh Pence as a younger version of Ra's al Ghul had fans wondering whether we were going to be treated to just a flashback to the villain's past... or if the regenerative Lazarus Pit was actually going to be featured in the third Bat-film.

Several set photos have emerged that seem to feature several green-screen Lazarus Pits, and now with the casting of Neeson as Ra's, who was assumed dead until now... well, the pieces seem to be falling into place for quite the treat for Bat-fans.

Warner Bros. has declined comment (and Nolan is probably seething about the leak), but until we hear otherwise, consider this pretty much official.

Now, do you think there's still any doubt that Marion Cotillard's character will eventually be revealed as al Ghul's beautiful and manipulative daughter, Talia?

Ra's al Ghul, Talia al Ghul and the back-breaking Bane... it's going to be a dark night indeed for the Dark Knight!

(And we're still holding out for the possibility that Joseph Gordon-Levitt might actually be playing the Riddler, but we're also kind of crazy when it comes to this movie, so don't hold us to it.)

there's no doubt what the most anticipated film of 2012 is: "The Dark Knight Rises." So when word came out over the weekend that the first trailer of the film had been leaked online, the entire internet went, well, completely batsh*t.

But is the trailer a fake?

As noted by The Hollywood Reporter, the teaser trailer -- which features the words "The storm is coming to Gotham" over an image of a flock of bats careening through a thunderstorm -- gained some credence thanks to rumors that the "Dark Knight Rises" trailer would be debuting this weekend before overseas showings of "Green Lantern." And the clip's handheld shakiness, combined with some crowd cheering, seems to suggest the bootleg video was taken live at a movie theater somewhere.

However, in a bit of sleuthing that would impress even the world's greatest detective, some enterprising internet gumshoes have determined that the footage of the bat swarm featured in the trailer is apparently from a BBC special on fruit bats (compare here YouTube - ‪Life - The world's largest gathering of fruit bats - BBC One‬‏ and skip to the :57 mark for a good look), suggesting this is, in fact, a bit fat phony.

That image of Bane is not doing much for me, Hardy is too small:thumbsdown

It could be a pre-drugs Bane too. Also, given that Bane is inhumanly huge adn hard to translate to live action (see awful Batman and Robin version.....:sick), perhaps the idea is to make his strength a function of the drugs' ability to make him feel no pain and be super strong as a result. I'd take the tack of making Hardy bigger, cut like a paper doll and when enraged, totally invulnerable to pain or blunt force. A good portrayal can overcome the size.

This. It's all in how the character is written and portrayed. Hardy's looking plenty big, and what he lacks in size he can supplement with psychosis.

Well, in the Nolan-verse, the word "inhuman" or "superhuman" doesn't exist.. this version of Bane is going to be much more grounded in reality than the others.

I like Tom Hardy, so I'm definitely interested to see what they do with this.
