Vibro - Axe ....has anyone ever built a complete and accurate one??

Over the years there have been multiple attempts at building this prop in a group fashion with no success of completion. I'd like to try building one myself, but want it to be very accurate.

I'm aware of some parts, mainly the ones on POSW, but didn't know if all have been identified.

I also was wondering if anyone has built up a uber accurate one?? If so, I'd love to see any pics you have of it.

This has long been a prop I'd like to tackle, but has remained out of reach for some reason.....maybe this time.

I have everything except the military connector. I don't think anyone ever found a source for those.

I'm with you Macklin...still needing that part as well. The vibro-axe project seems to get a full head of steam and then just peter out. Does anyone know or have a complete list of what's needed? I can think of the following:

-ESB toy blaster grill part (found item)
-Soft-flo soaker (found item)
-Supermax hairdryer (found item)
-Front tip/quick disconnect (found item)
-Motorcycle crankcase part (found item)(thanks Mac!)
-Chest rod item (???)
-Military connector and tubing (???)
-Blade (??? scratch built???)
-Large phillips head screw looking piece (????)
-Wire wrap (???)
-Pole

No offense to David, but I'd like to see a more accurate chest rod piece done. As for the (???) pieces, I need them all.

I've been wanting to get aluminum blades made, but haven't been able to pursue it. Macklin did some nice drawings.

The Phillips head screw piece is a leftover from the C-3PO costume.
I bought replicas from TK-409. It's scratchbuilt, but pretty nice.

I think it's tubing and not wire wrap. I found come that's fairly close that I might use if nothing else better comes along.
It does share some resemblance to the TIE pilot hoses which are supposedly old hair dryer hose.

Chest Rod is similar to Vader's but there are some notable differences. I'm sure if this project went anywhere Russrep could make them.

The military connector.
I've found some that are close. They're the correct size and type, but wrong manufacturer apparently or some other variation. Decent to work with, but I hope to find better.
At this time I don't have any extras.

What about the big cylinder connected to the military connector? Whasat?

IMO that piece is too vague. Unless it's related to some other piece I doubt we'll ever know what it is. It's just a simple cylinder with a rounded end.
I think the two depressions in the side of that piece are screws holding it to the blade. The threaded section is part of the connector.
